 I'm back from my trip to London I won from Coca-Cola!
Some of you may remember me winning a Harry Potter Castle Adventure trip to London back in February 2002. Well, the trip was last week. It was AWESOME!! I got to take 3 family members with me - My dh and 2 of my 3 kids (my 3 yr old stayed home with my mom). I met Thu Phan (thuspicy4u) who won a trip also! That was fun - she's a sweetheart, as are her 3 sisters. Coca-Cola spared no expense in providing us with a magical castle adventure. It was so amazing. We rode the Orient Express to the south coast of England and spent the day at a castle that resembles Hogwarts - wand-making, broomstick-making, quidditch match, a potions class, etc. etc. There were wizards and prefects to lead us around and help us out - there were 100 grand prize winners and each person brought 3 guests, so that was 400 people! We also got to go to Windsor Castle by bus and tour the magnificent state rooms there, ate lunch in a wonderful old hunting lodge in Surrey, ride the London Eye, a brand-new exhibit on the River Thames which is a huge ferris-wheel type attraction. We also had a free day for sightseeing - that was really fun. Westminster Abby, Parliament, Buckingham Palace and the best part of all, shopping at Harrod's - what an amazing store!! It's takes up a whole city block and is five-stories - I LOVED IT!!  Coca-Cola provided all our meals, hotel (2 rooms) and airfare, as well as some great freebies - backbacks, Coke rain jackets and umbrellas, disposable cameras, and really nice Harry Potter watches. We also had all the Coke/Sprite/Schwepps Water we could drink! The final night there was a farewell dinner at London's Natural History Museum. It was magic - even had a recorded message from Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the movie. The entertainment was provided by the Welsh Guard Band; the Queen's guards with the red jackets and big black bearskin hats - they were terrific. Even played the Coca-Cola song at the very end (I'd like to teach the world to sing...) Anyway, sorry this is so long. That sounds like it was a wonderful trip! Thanks for sharing your story. I've always wondered how the trips are that are offered in the sweeps. I definitely remember you winning that trip and Thu Phan, too! Thank for sharing your trip with us, it sounds so FUN!! I loved the Harry Potter books and movie. I really want to go to England some day, and I'll definitely have to visit Ashdown Forest while I'm there (the real home of the real Winnie-the-Pooh).

sounds like you had a blast. It's nice to hear stories of people who won things and how it went - what the companies did. Since my DH and his uncle collect coke stuff it's always neat to hear when the company has good news and stuff.
