I TALKED TO THE MAN AT TURBOSWEEPS

Ok...I finally called. LOL

I talked to Chris at TurboSweeps and he said that the reason that there is no import/export buttons in the newer program is because so many people were importing and exporting corrupted files that they took that feature out temporarily. They've had many requests to put those buttons back in.
Also the diagnostics button has been taken out as well. I never did ask him why but he did tell me how we can still access and use it. On your keyboard, hold the SHIFT, CTRL & ALT buttons down and push the D key. I just tried it and it still works.

They are going to be making some changes to the program within the next month or so and coming out with a nicer program with lots of other features. We discussed whether they were going to be charging for this service and no definite decisions have been made yet. He did mention that the Gold Club Membership will probably be done away with. He said the interest just isn't there as they expected since people can input their own sweepstakes. But the newer program would be worth the fee charged just for the features. He also said they would still have the free program available without all the bells and whistles.

He also mentioned that he wished more people would email him and let him know what you all are winning. They have a Winner's Circle link at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] . It helps to show more interest in the program and that the program is worthwhile to keep improving upon. So if you win anything over $100 in value and used TurboSweeps to enter, drop Chris a note and let him know so he can post it on their website.

That's all I got...lol

I also directed him here to the contest forum on DOD while we were on the phone and told him how much we all like the program and were concerned why some things weren't working as before. (So now that he knows where we are, let's give him something to look at...lol)
I thought it would nice to mention in this thread, what you think of the TurboSweeps program, what do you not like, what would you like to see improved upon, anything you would like to mention. Maybe he'll chime in and give us some updates about the new program or ask for some suggestions.
Hope this helps a little bit!
Sandy

WOW!

`Wow Sandy: Sounds like Chris was really nice and helpful. I LOVE turbosweeps, it's ease of use, and I love the organizational
aspect of having it. I am soooo unorganized on my own. Glad to hear the Gold Club will be going away. I did use to *love* downloading their file every week or so with the new sweeps, it was so nice, conveinent and easy! LOL. But it was okay that they did away with that too, I understand the making money aspect. I think the program is the best....Not sure about the "bells and whistles", in my opinion: "If it aint broke...." well you all know the rest! LOL

Love Thanks!

Boy, I wish every company was as nice to deal with as it sounds like Chris was! I really appreciate your post, I was going nuts trying to transfer files after my comp crashed. Was so proud that I had saved them...bummed that I couldn't use it. But, thanks to all the wonderful people here I recovered nicely!!!!

Well, if you're reading this Chris, I LOVE TURBOSWEEPS! I use it almost every morning. I love how easy it is to put in new sweeps and the way you keep track of them all is so excellent. I haven't thought of anything I would like more from it.

I really like the Turbosweeps program as well. It is really a great organizational tool for sweeping! As for Bells and Whistles.....I'm just wondering what they might be. I'm really happy with the program the way it is (aside from what's been metioned) and see no need for anything else other than making me an automatic winner at the sweeps I enter! LOL!! Do I want to pay for a newer version with bells and whistles, no. Do I want to pay for sweeps that I can find myself (and with help from internet friends) and enter myself, no. Do I recommend this program to others, absolutely! And not just because it was a free download. It is truly a wonderful program and I really appreciate Chris for coming up with it and of course for all his help as I've benefitted from his conversations with others in problem solving.

Baffled

DOH!!!
Do I ever feel like a dingdong......

The guy I talked to...his name is Todd. I have no idea where I got the name Chris but I apologize for getting the name wrong.

Todd has visited this thread and looking at all the comments. He may post later. Sorry for the confusion, Todd.
