Michigan Live and Boyne USA Resorts ("Sponsors") will give away one grand prize of a complimentary weekend at Boyne Mountain Resort, and five prizes of complimentary lift tickets for two good for use at Boyne Mountain Resort.

Contestants can enter by:

Going to the Michigan Live Web site at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and subscribing to the free Boyne USA Resorts e-mail newsletter. To subscribe to the newsletter, contestants must enter their full name, e-mail address, street, city, state and zip code. Contestants must also click on the "Submit" button. Only one entry per person/email address. Michigan Live will use the email addresses provided to notify the winner. You may also receive e-mail offers from Sponsors or carefully selected third parties. Entrants and subscribers to the free Boyne USA Resorts newsletter may opt out of receiving further email at any time.

All entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on Tuesday, January 29, 2002.

Odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. One grand prize winner and five lift ticket winners will be selected at random on or about Wednesday, January 30, 2002.

Entries that are lost, late, misdirected, garbled, or incompletely received, for any reason, including by reason of hardware, software, browser, or network failure, malfunction, congestion, or incompatibility at Sponsors or elsewhere, will not be eligible. Sponsors, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of the rules. Sponsors further reserve the right to cancel, terminate or modify any promotion not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort.

Employees of Sponsors and members of their families may not enter the sweepstakes.

Income and other taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Only legal U.S. and Canadian residents (excluding Quebec), aged 18 or older as of date of entry, are eligible to enter the contest. Subject to all federal, state, provincial and local laws and regulations. Void outside the U.S. and Canada, in Puerto Rico, the Canadian Province of Quebec and where prohibited. In the event the winner is a resident of Canada, such winner will be required to correctly answer a time-limited arithmetical skill-testing question.

The grand prize package (awarded to 1 winner) includes:

Accommodations for two adults and up to three children for two nights at Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls, MI
Two days unlimited skiing plus ski rental (boots, skies and poles) for two days for two adults and up to three children.
Food and beverages (dinner on two nights and breakfast on two mornings).
The lift ticket prize (awarded to five winners) includes:
One lift ticket for two valid for use at Boyne Mountain Resort.
The prizes are non-transferable and non-refundable. Transportation to and from Boyne Falls, Michigan, not included. Taxes are not included. Incidental charges such as gratuities, phone calls, gift shop purchases and recreation charges also not included. Offer valid midweek or weekends. Offer not available on holidays. Subject to availability. Blackout dates and other restrictions may apply.
Ski trip and lift tickets must be used and completed by March 31, 2002.

Approximate retail value of the grand prize package is $1,400.

Approximate retail value of each lift ticket pass for two is $90.

Winners will be notified by e-mail. If the winners do not respond and execute any necessary paperwork by February 6, 2002, alternative winners may be chosen. All decisions of the judges are final.

Winners may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and winner and travel companions a Publicity/Liability release, which must be returned by February 6, 2002 or alternative winners may be selected. Acceptance of prize constitutes consent to use winner's name and likeness for editorial, advertising and publicity purposes without further compensation, except where prohibited.

There are no substitutions for prizes except by Sponsors, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be substituted.

All entries become the property of Sponsors and will not be acknowledged or returned.

For the names of the winners, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to MLive Boyne 2002 Winners, 339 E. Liberty St., Suite 210, Ann Arbor, MI, 48104 after January 30, 2002, but before March 1, 2002.
