Has anyone everyone from the creative pro.com contest. I recieved this e-mail stating that I won first prize, but I am not sure if it is worth it or not. They say that I would have to pay tax. It is my distinct pleasure to inform you that your name was selected as a winner in our weekly contest at Creativepro.com! The prize you've won is a one year, unlimited access, subscription to Photospin.com valued at $199.00 US. In accordance with our contest rules (see [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]), to claim your prize, I need to hear back from you by 5 p.m., PST, Tuesday, December 18, 2001, with either verbal or written confirmation of your acceptance of the prize. If we don't hear back from you by then, we'll have to choose an alternate prize winner. You should be aware that the value of the prize is considered taxable by the IRS, and you will be responsible for any taxes due (you should talk to your tax accountant - or the IRS directly - about these issues). Other than that, there are no catches from our end. The best way to proceed from here is to let me know whether you plan to accept the prize. Then I will send you your subscription code to set up your subscription to Photospin.com In closing, let me offer you our congratulations and our thanks for being a member of the Creativepro.com community. I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Cindy Samco

Actually, it sounds fairly legit to me. I have never done business with these guys so I don't know for sure. As long as they don't ask for any money, I'd say go for it. The taxes part of your letter is fairly standard in winning letters. BTW, congratulations!

I do web design and actually paid for a subscription to PhotoSpin; you can download very nice pics, fonts, and graphics from their site ... it is worth it .. and, legally, all wins are subject to tax, although most sweepstakes won't send tax forms unless the prize is $600 or over.

Thanks, my son is in a Graphics/and Video Multimedia class in his Highschool. It is a program that Bill Gates put together. My son was lucky enough to get into the pilot program. He will LOVE this! Thanks so much for the info!
