My adventure yesterday:)

Well, I had an interesting day yesterday and I thought you guys might like to hear about it!!! Sandy told me about an event near my house that was promoting the DVD release of "The Mummy Returns". It was an "archeological dig" down at the Santa Monica Pier Beach - they had buried in the sand hundreds of little boxes with notes inside them, telling which prize you won (the grand prize was a volkswagon beetle!!!) They were expecting 1000 people, but only about 250 showed up!!! I was totally surprised because The Rock was there and I would have thought that at least 1000 wrestling fans would have shown up!!! We had 30 minutes to dig for as many prizes as we could - I found 3 and my husband found 2. We dug like CRAZY PEOPLE!!! The last box I found was in the last 30 seconds - I dug my hands under a huge mound of sand and felt one and was desperately trying to pull it out! I franticly tried to move the sand away, but finally realized that I had to just pull the damn thing out - I grabbed it and pulled with all my might just as they were counting down the last 5 seconds!!! We didn't win the bug, but we won a DVD of the movie, the Sony PS2 game, the Gameboy color game, the soundtrack of the movie and an hourglass promo thingy. We also each got tshirts. Anyway, I can BARELY MOVE today - who would have thought that digging in the sand could be such hard work, but honestly, it feels like my wrists are broken and my arms are wet noodles!!!! BUT IT WAS TOTALLY FUN!!! I had to practically DRAG Pete there and now he says that he wishes we could do it again!!!!
