OT: What prizes do you ALWAYS enter for and what do you NEVER enter for?

I am doing my darndest to win a DVD player and I always enter for gift baskets and anything food related. I NEVER enter for trips because I don't want to pay the taxes on such a large prize that (to me) seems that the retail value is based on some marketing team's whim.

I like the trips.....and the cars best. But I also enter pretty much anything that catches my interest. LOL

I always enter for trips - I won one several years ago and it was one of the best vacations I've ever taken.

I do just like Trace30...I enter just about everything since I have yet to get a win at anything!!! If I happened to hit a winning streak....I would most like to win the cash prizes, then the gc's....but I really will take any win I can get!! LOL!!

I never used to enter alot for trips but most people who win them, say they are terrific! I want my kids to see more of the world than what we are financially able to do!

I don't even enter all the ones for cash, just depends on the rules and the site!

I wouldn't really say there is anything that I would never enter for but I do stay away from certain sweeps. I steer clear of the ones that ask for your information and then ask for your household income and how many children and stuff like that. Or the ones that want you to pick a few email newsletters or select some interests before submitting an entry. Bellaonline is borderline for me on this respect.
For example, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] or [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] on, they don't need all that information to enter me in a sweeps. Not even Nabisco asks for that much personal info. I figure most places like this either never really give out the prizes and just want your information to send you a bunch of advertising for stuff you don't want. I know places need to make money to stay afloat but it always makes me wonder about the legitimacy of their sweepstakes. I could be wrong on this, that's just how I perceive them. I also don't do the lotto sweeps either. I never hear of anyone ever winning the big jackpots, so I don't like to waste my time. I have been doing the SurvivorStakes game tho, I really don't know why. Odds of winning are almost nil but I think I just like the way that game is set up and it soothes me watching it...lol I could live without all the advertising. But that's supposedly how they make the money that they give away.....sigh
I dunno, I'm still fairly new to all this sweeping business and haven't quite had enough experience to know which are good ones and which are not. I just don't like how some of the sweeps sponsors set up their entry processes. If its a site that has actual products for sale on their website, I will probably enter. But if all they want to do is show me a bunch of advertising with affiliate links, I usually don't mess with it.

What sweeps do I enter? Hmmm...what day is this and what's my mood? I always enter for cash and cars. Some times I enter for trips. Depends on the location and if it's for a family or just for 2. If it's just for 2 I will pass it by most of the time. Too hard to find someone to stay with my DD's while I'm gone. I enter computer sweeps. But some sites I just don't bother with no matter how wonderful the prize is. Call it a gut feeling or whatever but if the site doesn't "feel" legit I just move on.

As for internet lottos...I used to enter them all. Figured someone was going to win, might as well be me. But I've dropped them. It turned into pop-up **** and I hate pop-ups.

I enter just about anything as long as it is something my family will use and enjoy. But if it's something I can't use like for instance, something for hunting or baby items then I pass so that someone who can REALLY use them, gets them.
