OK, I woke up REALLY hungry and dreaming of food this morning, so I thought of a little game/contest for us to play. Let's say I was coming to your house to visit. What would you feed me? We could go to your favorite restaurant and you could order for me (I'm paying, so price isn't an issue, or if you make something really great, we can eat at your place. Any meal of the day is applicable and the contest will end next Sunday (to give everyone who's out of town a chance.) For example - if you were coming to visit me, I'd get take-out from a place called Zankou Chicken - they make this middle eastern roasted chicken, and serve it with this white garlic sauce (looks kind of like horseradish) that is to die for. I also might take you to a place in Downtown L.A. called Phillipe's - they invented the french dip sandwich there back in the 20's or 30's. First prize will go to the person who describes THE YUMMIEST sounding meal to me Also, Second prize will go to the person who describes the yummiest sounding meal to my husband Pete![]() First prize winner will be an almost-new copy of my favorite book of all-time, John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany. Second prize is a kinda-worn, trade paperback copy of John Irving's almost-as-good, most recent book, A Widow for One Year. Reason for the contest? I found these two wonderful books at a book sale yesterday for a quarter each, and just couldn't pass them up, and also I just loved Tami's Pooping Cow contest!!!

| We would have to have all 3 meals! Breakfast: We would start off with a fresh crab omelet (we are known for our crab) at the locals hang out. If you are not into crab we would start our day with Fancy Shamancy Java and bakery item and a diet coke for me. They put sooooo much fresh, succulent crab in the omelet- it is wonderful. Then they top it with cheese. Lunch: Then for a light lunch.Would be homemade. *Homemade bread with chive butter (chives from my garden). *Fresh yummy chicken salad. *Deviled eggs. *Fruit & veggie plate. *Cool drink Dinner: Would be at the Greek restaurant across the street. They have a Greek salad to die for. Then we would have the Greek sample platter with a variety of goodies. Then top that off with homemade Baklava. Favorite wine or beverage to compliment meal.

| Mmmmmmm!
How about an old-fashioned family cookout! Stop by the Teraberry household and have a seat at our dinner table! First, we have to all hold hands while my 4 year old Timothy sings a dinner prayer, which he makes up on the spot, to thank God for the food. Then open up your potato bun and choose your grilled brat. My husband is the master of beer brats. He'll simmer it first in Foster's then grill it to perfection. You can top it with heinz or the best sauerkraut ever (Del Monte! ) How about a few FlavorRush Potato Chips to go with that? Maybe some fruit salad too - bananas, watermelon, cantaloupe, and grapes. To drink... a Fat Tire beer or what I prefer - ice water with a lemon slice. Now that's good eatin'! YUMMY!

I'd serve you a simple breakfast with your choice of flavored or roast coffee, homemade waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream, and crisp, hot bacon on the side. You could also have your choice of fruit juice or milk. Simple yes, but one of my favorite meals!

Well, in the spirit of this site I will fix a money saving meal myself. I would seat you at a table set with my crystal and fine china. I would have Ravels Four Seasons playing in the background. An antique vase filled with flowers would be on the table. My crystal candlesticks would be burning giving the room a soft glow. The two of you could pretend you were in a romantic place while I served you. I would start with a fresh salad made with mixed greens.I would put vine-rippened cherry tomatos.Fresh Italian dressing. Then manicotti. I would make it with Sargento's whole milk ricotta . Also, fresh homemade bread. For dessert, a chocolate cherry cheesecake . I dont imbibe so would serve you iced tea, lemonade, or distilled water with lemon. When you got ready to leave, I would give you some of the disposable glad containers filled with all of the above foods . No cooking for tomorrow either ![]() I actually make all the above dishes. I have coupons for the dressing, cheese, cream cheese, yeast, tea, lemonade and containers. The ingredients for the sauce are on sale. Total cost of the meal was under twelve bucks and had lots of left overs.

![]() At the end of the world! Right on the tippy tip. Surrounded by ocean. We use to be called the Salmon Capitol of the World. So, if you would rather have salmon instead of crab, no problem. Unless you prefer we travel to Cincy. Then the menu would be different ~ BUT GOOD.

Ok.....having a hubby from the south.....When in Savannah the thing to have is a good old fashion "Low Country Boil" It's a great get together meal! A Low Country consist of... Red Potatoes Corn on the Cob Sasauge Shrimp We combine all these ingreidents in a hugh pot, cooking the goodies in stages and adding some shrimp boil seasoning to kick it up a notch <LOL> When finished...drain off the water and serve right out of the pot! Also need a few beers to wash it down!

Ok.... first you get the 2 best New York Strip Steaks you can find, pound black pepper into them, and then you saute them in half butter and half olive oil, and then you flip them and cook them some more (but not too much)..... when they are just about done to your liking, add some brandy and light the pan with a match... after the fire goes out, remove the steaks to a plate and add brown mustard, cream, and green peppercorns to the pan and stir. Add the steaks back into the sauce and serve.
