1. How to Enter: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. The Sparkle StyleSM Sweepstakes ("Sweepstakes") begins on April 15, 2002 and ends on January 31, 2003 ("Sweepstakes Period"). Two Ways to Enter: 1) Online Entry: Starting at 12:01 a.m. (Pacific Time ["PT"] ) on April 15, 2002 and continuing up and until 11:59 p.m. (PT) on January 31, 2003. Fill in this online entry form and click Submit. Limit of one on-line entry per e-mail address per day. Important: In the on-line entry form you must provide your parent's or legal guardian's e-mail address so that Sponsor or Sponsor's agent can send an email to your parent/legal guardian advising him/her of your attempt to enter this Sweepstakes. In that parental notification e-mail your parent/legal guardian will be given the opportunity to revoke your entry into this Sweepstakes. If your parent/legal guardian notifies the Sponsor or Sponsor's agent of his/her intent to revoke your entry, then your entry will be disqualified; or 2) Mail Entry: Obtain an official entry form found in specially-marked packages of Polly Pocket!™ products or on a plain 3" x 5" card, legibly hand-print your name, address, zip code, age, plus day and evening phone numbers with area codes. Then, mail your completed entry form or 3" x 5" card in a first-class, stamped envelope to: Sparkle StyleSM Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 8223, Calabasas, CA 91372-8223. Enter as often as you like by mail but there is a limit of one entry per outer envelope. Each envelope is considered one entry. No mechanically reproduced entries permitted. On-line entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. (PT) on January 31, 2003. Mail entries must be postmarked by January 31, 2003 and received by February 6, 2003. Neither Mattel, Inc. ("Sponsor") nor RPMC, Inc. ("Sweepstakes Administrator") will verify receipt of entries. All entries submitted become the sole property of Sponsor and will not be returned.

2. Eligibility: To enter the Sweepstakes you must be a lawful permanent resident of the United States and be 4-12 years of age, inclusive. Sweepstakes is void in Puerto Rico, U.S. territories and possessions and where restricted or prohibited by law. The Sweepstakes, and any web site pages and advertisements relating thereto, is intended for viewing only within the United States. You are not authorized to participate in the Sweepstakes if you are not located within the United States. Employees of Mattel, Inc., Club Libby Lu®, the participating retail locations and RPMC, Inc., their affiliated companies, parents, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, (collectively, the "Sweepstakes Entities"), and their immediate families and members of their households, are ineligible to participate in this Sweepstakes. All on-line entrants must have their parent/legal guardian give permission for Sponsor to collect the name, address, age, date of birth and phone number of such entrant or such other personal information with respect to such entrant as may be required to award a prize hereunder (collectively "Personal Information") in order for such entrant to be eligible to win a prize in this sweepstakes. Failure of the parent/legal guardian to grant such permission will result in the disqualification of such entrant.

3. Drawing and Notification: A random drawing will be held on or about February 20, 2003 from among all eligible entries received by Sweepstakes Administrator, an independent judging organization whose decisions are final and binding in all respects. Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received. Potential winners who entered on-line will be notified only via an e-mail message sent to the e-mail address of their parent/legal guardian which was supplied to Sponsor by entrant at the time the on-line entry form was submitted. Sponsor or Sponsor's agent must receive a reply (via e-mail only) to such notification e-mail message which is in full compliance with the instructions sent in the e-mail message (including the granting of permission by the parent/legal guardian of the entrant for Sponsor or Sponsor's agent to collect Personal Information, as defined above) within five (5) calendar days from the date the e-mail message was sent by Sponsor or Sponsor's agent to such parent/legal guardian. Failure of the parent/legal guardian to reply to such notification e-mail message and fully comply with its instructions (including the granting of permission by the parent/legal guardian of the entrant for Sponsor or Sponsor's agent to collect Personal Information) within such time period will result in the disqualification of the potential winner and an alternate winner will be selected. Potential winners who entered via mail will be notified by phone or mail and if such potential winner cannot be reached within seven (7) calendar days from the first notification attempt, then such person shall be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. These notification requirements will be strictly enforced.

4. Prizes: Two (2) Grand Prizes: Each Grand Prize consists of a trip for two to visit Club Libby Lu® in Schaumburg, Illinois. Trip consists of: Round-trip coach air transportation from major U.S. gateway city nearest winner's home to Chicago; three (3) nights first class hotel accommodations in Chicago (double occupancy); makeover at Club Libby Lu® for winner only and an 8 x 10 glossy photo of the winner's makeover; $750 shopping spree at Club Libby Lu® (for winner only; must be complete spree in a single visit; if less than $750 worth of merchandise is selected, the balance will be forfeited; winner is responsible for all charges that exceed $750; other restrictions may apply); a boat cruise around Chicago; limousine transportation between Club Libby Lu® and hotel; mid-size rental car for the duration of stay (designated driver must be at least 25 years of age, other restrictions may apply); a World of Polly Pocket!™ toy products prize pack. (Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") $5,291.13). Retail value will vary depending on the point of departure. Travel must be completed by March 15, 2004 and winner must arrange travel with RPMC, Inc. at least 60 days in advance. Accommodations and air transportation are subject to availability and blackout periods may apply. All meals, tips, insurance, taxes, and other expenses not specifically identified as included in the prize are the sole responsibility of each Grand Prize winner. Twenty-Five (25) First Prizes: A World of Polly Pocket!™ toy products prize pack. (ARV $373.00 each.) One Hundred (100) Second Prizes: A Polly Pocket!™ inflatable chair. (ARV $4.99 each.) No transfer, substitution, or cash equivalent for prizes allowed except at Sponsor's sole discretion due to prize unavailability and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. Limit one prize per person, per email address and per household.

5. Prize Conditions: The parent/legal guardian of potential Grand Prize winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release and a Publicity Release ("Affidavit/Release") on behalf of the Grand Prize winner and must accompany winner on the trip. The travel companion of the Grand Prize winner (who must be a parent or legal guardian of the winner) must also sign a Liability and Publicity Release. The Affidavit/Release forms must be returned by the date indicated on the documents. If the potential Grand Prize winner fails to return such documents by such date, or the potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if he/she does not comply with the Official Rules, then such potential winner will be disqualified and an alternate winner will be selected. If prizes or prize notifications are returned as undeliverable, this will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be selected. All federal, state or other tax liabilities (including income taxes) arising from this Sweepstakes will be the sole responsibility of each Grand Prize winner. Except where prohibited by law, the winner's entry and acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for the Sweepstakes Entities to use said winner and his/her travel companion's name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and city and state address on a worldwide basis and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation.

6. Sweepstakes Conditions: This Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor and Sweepstakes Administrator and waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Sweepstakes or these Official Rules. Winners and entrants (and entrant's parent/legal guardian) also agree to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless Sweepstakes Entities from and against any claims, damages, demands, losses or liability due to any injuries, damages or losses to any person, including death, or property of any kind resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of any prize or participation in any Sweepstakes-related activity or participation in this Sweepstakes.

7. Limitations of Liability: Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, incorrectly addressed, incomplete, illegible, undeliverable, destroyed, or postage-due mail entries and/or lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete on-line entries due to system errors and failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications malfunctions and/or on-line entries not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system errors and failures, or faulty transmissions, or for any problems or technical malfunction(s) of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, or entries not received by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, or at a Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from entering the Sweepstakes or downloading any material for the Sweepstakes, or other telecommunications malfunctions which may limit an entrant's ability to participate. Sponsor may prohibit an entrant from participating in the Sweepstakes or winning a prize if, in its sole discretion, it determines that said entrant is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes by cheating, hacking, deception, or other unfair playing practices (including the use of automated quick entry programs) or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants or Sponsor representatives. If for any reason this Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the promotion, then Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Sweepstakes.
