Jim Beam Rock Band Search Official Rules
1. No purchase necessary. You may enter the Jim Beam Rock Band Search by mail or by completing an application on-line. To enter by regular mail: print the application located at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and complete with names, complete household addresses including zip or postal code, e-mail address, age, and day and evening telephone numbers of each band member. Mail the completed application with (1) a short biography of your band, (2) a photograph of your band and (3) an MP3 or CD of a minimum of two original “modern rock” compositions written and performed by your band to: Jim Beam Rock Band Search c/o RollingStone.com, 640 N. LaSalle, Suite 557, Chicago, IL 60610. Jim Beam Brands Co. assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, illegible, incomplete or postage-due entries. Either login above or Register Now] and with names, complete household addresses including zip or postal code, e-mail address, age, and day and evening telephone numbers of each band member. Submit the completed application online with (1) a short biography of your band, (2) a .jpg file containing a photograph of your band and (3) an MP3 file of a minimum of two original “modern rock” compositions written and performed by your band.

2. All mail-in entries must be post-marked by September 30, 2002 and received by October 10, 2002. All on-line entries must be transmitted on-line by 5:00 p.m. C.S.T. on September 30, 2002. Limit one entry per band. Should multiple entries be received, all such entries will not be eligible.

5. Each band designated “Band of the Week” shall receive one (1) $250.00 music-related gift certificate. Each band designated “Band of the Month” will receive $1,000.00 cash. The band designated “Band of the Year” will receive $10,000.00 cash and an invitation to participate in the Jim Beam Brands Co. Road to the Rackhouse Tour in 2003. The “Band of the Year” also will receive a trip to New York City on or about December 7, 2002 to attend the Jim Beam Brands Co. Rock Band Search Final Event at which the Band of the Year will be required to perform. If “Band of the Year” members are unable to attend the Rock Band Search Final Event, an alternate winner may be selected at the sole discretion of Jim Beam Brands Co. Trip includes round-trip, coach-class airfare from major airport nearest winners’ home, one-night hotel accommodations (based on double occupancy), ground transportation to/from airport, and $25.00 per band member. Meals, gratuities and all other expenses not specified herein are winners’ responsibility. Approximate retail value up to $5,500.00 per band. The approximate retail value of all available prizes is $36,000.00. Dollar amounts are expressed in U.S. currency. Prizes are non-transferable, and no prize substitutions or cash redemptions are allowed except by Jim Beam Brands Co. in its sole discretion. The odds of winning depend upon the criteria described in Paragraph 4 above, the number of entrants and number of votes received from site visitors. All taxes on prizes are the winners’ sole responsibility. All prizes will be awarded according to these rules and distributed no later than December 31, 2002.
