Do you have that one-in-a-million song? The Shure Musical Roots Contest is here to help you celebrate your music and those who influenced you. Step up and share your music with the world; enter your song in our 2nd Annual Musical Roots Contest. You might win Shure gear and a free trip to Southern California in January, 2003 to attend our surprise benefit concert.

Just send us an MP3 - or other recording - of your song, and a brief essay about a teacher (and/or mentor) who helped you develop as a musician. A selection of the best songs will be posted on our Web site for all the world to enjoy. The ten best songs - our finalists - will win a Shure KSM27 studio microphone. The Grand Prize winning song wins a trip to Southern California in January, 2003 to attend theShure Musical Roots Benefit Concert, plus a BIG pile of Shure gear - $5000 worth, for both you and your music teacher or school.
Contest entries may be sent online or via snail mail by October 31, 2002 to be eligible. Previously released commercial material is not eligible. Open only to residents of U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec). See rules for details.
