What a lousy website!

Gateway supposedly has a great deal on a 2 GB removable hard drive by Toshiba. $112.95 with a $100 rebate and free shipping. Can't beat that, huh? IF YOU CAN FIND IT!!!

What a crappy website Gateway has. You do a search for "Toshiba 2GB" and come up with the same item "C910 server" listed 6 times and the 7th item an article about buying removable hard drives. I can understand someone having an awkward and hard to use website, but a company that specializes in computers??

From the gateway home page, I clicked on Gateway Accessory Store, then from the list on the left under Hardware, I clicked Drives & Media, and then selected Hard Drives - it is the Featured Item.

Your problem was you were in the Gateway store where they sell computers and you should have gone to the accessory store.

The problem now is they have apparently ended the rebate!

While still in the accessory store, click on the Rebates & Coupons link (under the View Cart). Click on "T" and the rebate form is there! Good until August 15th - the free shipping code still works, too.

Hey, thanks, guys! I don't know why they would want to divide their site by such an invisible wall. I think even if you do some searches in eBay, it will show you something in eBay Motors - I could be wrong. If you don't know that such divisions exist, it can be frustrating. When you chat with a salesperson there and they can't find it, it should tell you something.

As to the rebate, I think it's still available. I clicked on the rebate center link and checked under "T" (for Toshiba). If you send it in by 8/15, they'll honor it.

gateway accessories

and

gateway.com are 2 different stores. Both now accepting the Gateway card.

the accessories store stinks I have purchased 4 big ticket items in 3 months time because of the credit I have with them but they never have anything in stock, go it goes out of stock after a confirmation email is sent. They cancelled a digital camera I order for overnight delivery after 12 days. I told them at they act as if they are working out of a garage it seems like for the lack of customer service and never a manager or supervisor on shift they should not have gateway in their name. You too can sign up to be an affliate with gateway. I laugh ever time I see that at the site.
