my new year's resolution was to quit smoking which i have for over 2 months now and start taking better care of my body and learning about the positive benefits of vitamins and herbs and natural medicine! all the fab deals for $25 off at mothernature.com, $15 off at healthquick.com and the other drugstores online helped me get lots of vitamins, herbs, and books for free! especially that deal from mothernature.com with the free book on 'natural home remedies' other great deals were the $25 websupercertificate for being approved for a discover CC and the $20 rebate check i got from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Congrats on both the deals you found and quitting smoking - I'm in great admiration of your feat. I failed miserably on my last attempt (#20 probably) to quit. I also have enjoyed the deals on vitamins - I figure I might as well try to counteract the smoking damage to some degree - ha! Good job!!! |

ang, thanks for the compliment, believe me, i've had some pretty pitiful attempts to quit too! example, last new year's eve, swore i'd quit, lit up a ciggie at 4:38a in the morning, now that is sad! it is hard though, everyday i want a ciggie, especially after i eat or when i'm downtown at the bars, everyone just looks so darn cool when they smoke!!!!! LOL!!!! ![]() but really, my boyfriend has been sooo good and not given me any ciggies and he tries to smoke around me less which i think is very sweet and considerate so i won't be tempted... |

Congrats, too, on quitting smoking. I watched my dad quit about 30 years ago (after smoking for about 20 years), so I know secondhand how difficult quitting can be. His payoff, besides the health benefits, was the deal he made with his kids. We promised never to start smoking if he quit smoking. He kept his end of the deal, and we've all kept ours. The great thing is that he's now 72, is in great shape with lots of energy, and has, in the words of his doctor, the heart of a 30 year-old and perfectly clear lungs. So hang there, it's definitely worth it. |

Hang in there bethie.. it is soo~ooo worth it! I quit 11 years ago (when I was pregnant). Well it was easy at the time because of all the morning sickness I was having, but to this day I still dream I am smoking at least once a week! I wake up and say "THANK GOD THAT WAS ONLY A DREAM!" ------------------ [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] ICQ #1994163 |
