Angry KOHLS THE WORST PLACE TO SHOP ONLINE

I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP ONLINE AT KOHLS I REPEAT NEVER. AFTER SPENDING OVER AN HOUR SHOPPING THEIR CLEARANCE I HAD NINE ITEMS IN MY CART I WENT TO CHECKOUT TO BE TOLD ALL ITEMS WERE SOLD OUT! CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE THIS IGNORANT WOMAN TELLS ME WHOEVER CHECKS OUT WITH AN ITEM FIRST GETS IT EVEN IF IT MEANS TAKING IT FROM MY CART! GET THIS SHE TELLS ME IF I HAD HIT CHECK OUT AFTER EVERY ITEM THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN MINE. SHE SAIS WHEN YOU GO TO A STORE AND PUT ITEMS IN YOUR CART AND THEN LEAVE THE STORE THEY ARE NOT YOUR ANYMORE. DO THEY THINK WE ARE THAT STUPID! WHEN I GO TO A STORE AND PUT AN ITEM IN MY CART IT IS MINE UNTIL I GET TO CHECKOUT THE MANAGER DOESNT COME AND SAY OH I AM SORRY SOMEONE IN ISLE 3 WANTS THAT! I TOLD HER THEIR COMPANY HAD BETTER GET BETTER SOFTWARE PROGRAM TO ACCOMODATE CUSTOMERS. I AM NOT LETTING IT GO AT THIS . I AM WRITING THE PRESIDENT AND WILL SPEND THE DAY HERE EMAILING EVERYONE I KNOW AND ASKING THEM TO FORWARD IT TO EVERYONE THEY KNOW. WHO THE **** WANTS TO SHOP ONLINE WITH A COMPANY WITH SUCH LOW BUSINESS PRACTICES.

Actually I got kind of ticked off at their checkout system also...Like you I spent a lot of time shopping and when I got to checkout I was told most of the items were out of stock...complete waste of my precious time Oh well, live and learn LOL

No offense, but what do they gain by allowing customers to "reserve" items in their cart? There are lots of people, myself included, who add items to my cart then decide they don't want them. It's first come, first served. Sure it's annoying, but it's fair imo. Kohl's is not the only place that does this. I think it's more a waste of your time to complain to them about something so trivial. (again, imo)

I have to agree with Loca on this one. Lots of sites do this, especially when it comes to clearance items. There are so many people that will either change their minds after putting an item in the cart (or abandon the purchase all together) that companies have to make the sale to whomever they can.

Part of what I do is write software for companies. It is nothing to write a program that clears all carts with items in them after 24 hours if the items are not bought. If you want to spend an hour on a website shopping assuming what is in your cart is still in there only to be told upon checkout someone else took it out of your cart then by all means do so. My time is valuable, and there is no doubt in my mind that speaking my mind for myself and many many others will make a difference. How do you think these deceitful practices get stopped? By complaining to the bbb online is one way and by complaining directly to the company. Just my opinion is what it comes down to.

Corganiacs has great potential
Kohl's is not the only merchant that does that. Heres to name a few, brooks brothers, eddie bauer, and macy's.


it pisses me off... but what the f can i do?
