Angry Kiss your KB Gear rebates goodbye

After 3 months of waiting for my rebates on the KB Gear Jam Cam 3.0, I went searching on the internet and other forums. It looks very bleak. Here is a link from FW which basically explains it.

[Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

I tried calling the numbers that were listed and none of them were in service.

Here are some more comments from the AT forum:

I guess you won't be getting paid from them. Take it up with your local store, although since the rebates were generally not advertised by the stores you might have problems there. Good luck. I'm fortunate in that I submitted mine long enough ago that I got paid for all of them.
This may be an idea, but I don't know how willing the retailers would be to take money out of their pockets for something that wasn't their fault.

Any coincidence that I just checked [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and my JamCam 3.0 $30 rebate is no longer found? I sent a webmail inquiry but don't expect a reply. I tried calling 877-776-3493 which was on the rebate form and it refers you to 800-531-2842 KB Gear Tech Supt. After getting a Tech Supt. Rep, he said try KBGear HQ at 952-656-6000. Haven't tried HQ yet, but if they liquidated we are SOL. Also going to try the direct line to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] 888-314-9908 mentioned previously.
One of my rebates used to be on [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] but it's not there anymore.

This really bites. Now I am out $60.00. I gave KB Gear way too much credit earlier when I said they were a reputable company by honoring the rebates that weren't from participating retailers. I guess it's easy to promise anything when you don't follow up.

Friend and I both did the $15 Jam-It rebate when Amazon was offering them w/ free shipping. You're right, number on rebate form refers you to another number which is out of service. Doesn't look good... seems "jam it" has more than one meaning!

If you bought it from Amazon.com try contacting them. I call them before mine even shipped in Oct. with a question concerning the rebate. They told me there might be a problem with the rebate and credited me the $15.00 before it even shipped. Since they advertised that it was free they told me they would stand behind it. It's worth a try.

Thanks for the suggestion! I've just e-mailed Amazon CS -- hope they still "stand up" when they get hit with a flood of e-mails...

bummer....i bought 2 of them too.....great deal for 9 bucks after MIR but not a bad little camera for 39.....just think no film or developing cost. 2 dollars for a cheap roll of film and at least 5 to process, probably more. 7 dollars for 24 pictures. 6 rolls of film and the camera is paid for. plus you dont have to scan the pictures......just load em to the puter. yeah im ticked but it could be worse!!
