1800FLOWERS IS NOT COMING UP ROSES!
I recently ordered several sprays of flowers for 1800 FLOWERS.COM for a recent funeral. I had ordered before form this company and was pleased. However, when I placed three orders for my uncle's funeral on Thursday, I was embarrassed at the flowers which were sent.
1800-FLOWERS.COM's site mentions that "due to the recents tragedy, flowers may be substiuted, etc". This I can accept because I live near the WTC and I know there are alot of orders for flowers around here but the flower arrangements I picked out did not look anything like what was pictured on their site. The flowers were wilting, and one of the baskets ordered were almost completely made up with pink (yes pink-for my uncle's funeral) carnations instead of a springtime medley.
I called 1800-FLOWERS to inform them of my dissatisfaction only to be told that I would receive a 20% gc and a partial (20%) credit on my credit card. I also sent an e-mail to their CS dept. but have not received a reply.
Replacement flowers could not be resent (not that it would have mattered) because of timing. I am disappointed with this company and vow to go back to a real florist (not a virtual one) to place orders in the future.
It was a hard time to deal with the loss of a love one, but this only compounded the situation.
