Every time I tried to buy something using paypal I was told I had to verify my account with a bank account number or a credit card. I DID NOT WANT TO DO THAT. I found out from many online merchants that it was PAYPAL that insisted on verification, NOT THE MERCHANT!! I got so disgusted that I donated all $187 in my paypal account to the Red Cross! WHAT A GREAT WAY to spend this money!!!

I didn't have any trouble using paypal UNTIL I verified my account. Now, everytime I try to use it now I get a message that "my credit card issuer has denied the transaction" THAT is bull****-I have PLENTY of money left on this card. I called my CC company and they said the problem is with PayPal..they watched the transaction try to go through real time while I was on the phone with them and they said that the problem is with Paypal......PayPal says its a problem with my CC...When I tried to email paypal so they could help me...NO RESPONSES TO 15 EMAILS...so, I've decided that I can't be bothered with them anymore...its either checks or money orders for me now.

Kudos to the poster that gave the $ to the Red Cross...What a great idea!!

Paypal works but you have to give them too much information. Now when I sell things on eBay and get paid by Paypal--Paypal will transfer the $$ to my bank account for free but if I want them to mail me a check, they now charge $1.50 per check.
