disappointed w/ my eluxury purchase...

ordered the Moziak photo album for $38 (orig $80). if i'd paid even $15 for this, i'd have been disappointed. there's a silk fabric bag which is beautiful, but the cover is just glued on felt. mine's already coming apart a bit. i can't see how this will stand up to ANY use. bummer. i got it at right price, but am wishing i'd ordered something else. anybody else got their stuff? paula.

a nice photo album is such a good thing to have. i was so excited about this!! hard to boo hoo when you get for free (or nearly). now i wish i'd ordered some champagne!!

Yes I am bummed...I could have made this myself, but I would have put a REAL cover on it. On the other hand, eluxury must have some easy-to-sell buyers. I should give them a call!!

i think i'm going to tinker w/ mine a bit...

i'm going to get some gold ribbon and edge it (that should keep felt steadier). then get a similar peice of cardboard and put it on the inside back cover for sturdiness. then find another fabric to cover the back, and edge that w/ ribbon, too. almost a complete makeover, but it should be a beauty after that, don't you think? i don't know why the cardboard pages aren't white, though... and can't fix that.

Eluxury is VERY customer oriented... they bend over backwards to see you're satisfied.... SEND IT BACK IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT!!
I have been shopping with them for months now.. they are so good at wanting you to get what you want and be satisfied with it. I don't think there are any charges at all if you return an order.
They have quick delivery too.
Give them a call and see what they say.

I LOVE Eluxury!!

BTW, if you plan on ordering alcohol, be sure it can be shipped to your state. I did that once and they can't ship alcohol to Pa. I think you'd have to call customer service to see which states they can ship to.

I was VERY happy with my purchase (Guzzini knife set). Not only did it arrive incredibly quickly, but it's very high quality. I admit my expectations were low, but I was determined not to be disappointed no matter what, considering the item was completely free. However, I was pleasantly surprised and in fact although I would like to keep the knives for myself, I am going to be giving them as a wedding gift to my cousin and his fiancee, they are that nice.

I ordered makeup that when I applied to my face was not the right color. I called their CS department to exchange for something else. He told me since I had used it to keep it and he would send out my exchange at their expense.

You are all very supportive of eluxury and it's good for them you are happy with your purchases. I am not...but I can't very well complain because it was free.

I did send a note to them about the quality of this photo album and of course they said I could return it. And of course I won't because they should not have to undergo an additional expense for something that cost me nothing.

That's a nice way to look at it and I respect the way you feel. But you could look at it another way too. They want to please you and show you how great their customer service (and their site) is to get you back to buy again. It doesn't matter that it was a GC. They give those out through other companies to get ppl to their site. And it is an EXPENSIVE site as I'm sure you've noticed..lol. I can't afford it!! BUT... after experiencing the site several months ago through a $25.00 promo GC.. I HAVE been back.. many times. I look for the good buys (occsionally there are some on the sale stuff) and I look for "free" with purchase. I got wonderful spice collections (worth $50.00) free with a $50.00 coffee purchase. I do buy the coffee anyway and with the incentives I splurged more than usual. I now have 4 spice collection (3-French that was advertized and 1-spice rub(worth $60.00), because they ran out of the French and gave me my choice of the others available) that will make beautiful gifts! I also bought a fruit bowl that was on sale about 6 weeks ago and got a free order of 3lbs of bing cherries!! The bowl is a gift... the cherries were MINE They often have incentives like that for all different companies.
Anyway.. if they make you happy .. and they will... you may be back. So you are really not taking advantage in any way. Just getting the service they really do want you to have.

Hmmm... guess you can tell ... I Love this place!!...lol

You're a sweetie, Autumn96...and i have to say I was also disappointed with their response. I sent them a detailed note saying that the item was neither practical nor luxurious. The response was a canned/neutral reply:

"Thank you for your feedback. I sincerely apologize that you were not pleased with your purchase, and I appreciate that you took the time to write us and share your feelings. If you wish to return this item, please contact me."

I get nicer personal phone calls from Staples! If they can hit 99.9% customer satisfaction, I don't mind being the foil just this once.

I wasn't going to even say anthing but when I saw hannahsmom felt the same as I do...it gave me the impetus to speak up. I am not ungrateful for the freebie...just..well...you know...
