| In defense of CSR everywhere
Just a bit of support for CSR everywhere in every line of work..
Alot of the time these folks are way underpaid, over-worked and cannot complete the task that needs to be done to satisfy the customer. I was a manager in a medical claims processing dept at a insurance company ( Boo Hiss - insurers that never pay !! )
and believe me...our CSR took a lots of insults and complaints from customers. But because they could not correct the errors, but rather had to write up a complaint issue and forward it to the claims analyst or adjusters for correction.. well they had no control over whether it would be done or not.
If you have a problem...no matter what the issue, credit card, insurance or purchases.... BE NICE TO THE CSR !! If you give them lots of understanding and complete information politely, most likely it will be a favorable response. If you yell at them, or say things like " you people never do anything right " guess what, you're going to be making lots more calls over a few months and be even more frustrated.
What's the old saying ...you get more with honey..... so true !!
