Nicely done, though. These folks have some class, unlike CR! Dear Ebates member: As you are most likely aware, CyberRebate filed for bankruptcy protection several months ago leaving many of you without the rebates they had promised you. Since we monitor all of our merchants carefully, CyberRebate's sudden closing also took us by surprise. Nevertheless, we are committed to taking an activist role protecting the rights of all involved. In fact, our company president is the co-Chairperson of the CyberRebate Creditor Committee appointed by the United States Bankruptcy Court. He is actively involved in doing all he can to aid in the recovery of monies owed to all the victims of CyberRebate. Unfortunately, because we have yet to be paid for any CyberRebate purchases made through Ebates during the previous quarter, we need to place a hold on the "Ebate" which is currently in your account for those purchases. Please rest assured this will not affect any other rebates due to you from other merchants during this timeframe. This hold will continue until the outcome of the bankruptcy proceedings are known. At that time, members with pending CyberRebate "Ebates" will have first priority. All excess funds after those members are paid will be donated to a general fund to aid other victims of CyberRebate. On July 20th your account page will allow you to view the amount of your CyberRebate related "Ebate" by clicking on the appropriate link. Thus, you can be sure that we are keeping track of the amount even though it no longer appears in your primary account. We hope that this situation is quickly resolved and we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding.
