I contacted my bank about cyberrebate checks. I had two, but aim first one is posted on their site for rebates to mailed out in August the bank won't do nothing about that one. But for the other one they wrote that if I wish to receive credit I would have to mail the products back to the merchant and have proof of delivery/or refusal. If the merchant fails to issue credit to your account within 30 days of their receipt we may be able to assist you at that time. (Notice May be able to) Please be aware that since the merchant has declared bankruptcy, returning the merchandise will not guarantee a recovery of the disputed amount. If the merchant refuses the merchandise, we will need a copy of the proof of the refusal and you will need to hold the merchandise to be made available as the merchant bank has a right to the merchandise. This was on a VISA card. Did anyone else get this? Number one I am sure that Cyberrebate will not accept any merchandise also part of this I bought as a gift so can't return it and the other part is so heavy that the postage would be out of reason and then the bank wants it to boot. So guess will just wait and see if I get anything from Cyberrebate I think I will lose more from my own bank doing it their way. |

CyberRebate's home page contains a statement saying "do not return merch." I would print this out and supply it to bank in lieu of actually shipping merch. However I have had no luck with CC companies and don't know if anyone else's temporary credits from CC turned into real credits (mine were credited, then charged back to me the next month, reasoning being that I had received the merch and that rebate was "not part of the purchase process").
