| Forgive me for butting in, but I have a couple of ideas. I don't know if they will work, but it is a possibility. I know a lot of tv stations have a "on your side" type of deal for consumers that get jipped, so maybe you could try that. That way it will go public and possibly help alot of other people. I have seen it done for people when the company they bought from has filed for bankruptcy and they got their money back. Also you can call your local Attorney General and they will give you advice on what you can do. I have done this before and they were very helpful. I just hope you guys get your money back and CR gets what they deserve. Good luck! ![]()

| just for people's info, now cyberrebates.com is allowing you to view your account, how much they owe you, what happen with your rebates...and your order history...i am not sure if you will need this information, but for those of you who lost big money in this, definitely print out your order history page and just for your own proof. @takkie

| bs278 in answer to your question does anyone ever get paid from a bankruptcy company. I worked as a mystery shopper for a company that when belly up. It took two years for me to get the money they owed me. I hope we do get our money back from cyberrbate but I think it will be a slow long wait. |

I know there has been a lot of discussion about "no intent to pay", but I don't think case is the same as just writing bad checks. The checks were dated 4/18, and presumably if they'd been cashed before May 16 they would have been fine. Once the company has declared bankruptcy, though, all bets are off. I would be very surprised if the checks would have cleared. The only action I think you can take is to complain to Citibank that they told you to deposit the checks that had pretty much no chance of clearing, and then they charged you the fees. If you have any supporting info (date and time called, name of CS rep) definitely go after them. |

| Thanks! Thnaks to everyone who has replied. FYI, Citibank did refund me the $60, but that was after I had written a three page letter plus supporting documentation AND another email through PlanetFeedback.com. Actually, I received a very gracious reply to my email from PlanetFeedback. (Even though that doesn't counter the fact that Citibank's CS wasn't trained to fully disclose all the information in the first place.) I appealed to my citi rebate credit card, but it is still under investigation. I am not of much hope, but at least I tried. So thanks for everybody's interest and support! |
