| CyberRebate Claim Form I don't believe any action needs to be taken at present. This is a "Notice" as stated on the top of the form, sent to all people to whom they owe money. You are now AWARE they have filed Bankruptcy. Please note "deadline to file proof of claim," states notice of that date will be sent at a later time. Therefore, if you wish to file a claim for monies owed to you by CR, then when you receive THAT form, then you file.

| IMHO you should file claim with Bankruptcy Court right away, if you haven't already. Can't hurt to get it out of the way ASAP and get your name on the list. When I filed, I included everything -- you can always amend your claim later, when/if things get close to resolution. For example, my CC had temporarily reversed some charges, but I didn't know at the time what the final outcome would be, so I included them on BK court claim. Good thing, because "after investigation," my CC company reinstated those charges. |

| Yesterday I got the Bankruptcy notice in snail mail from the court. Meanwhile AMEX is temporarily suspended the charges while they investigate.. I sure can't go to New York for any meeting nor to obtain any claim forms. Oh man the rebate form copies are going to cost a ton to mail in after I figure out where to get the form and how to fill the stupid thing out. Where do I get this form with out going to NY? Do I file it even though AMEX is temp. suspending and investigateing? I hate this mess. ![]()

| Luckyme123, You don't have to go to NY or attend any meetings. The fact that you got the snail-mail without having previously filed any forms shows that you are on CR's list as being owed money. If you want to file the forms anyway (better safe than...) I would include ALL money owed, whether or not Amex or other CC company has credited you -- as in my case, above, where Amex credited then dumped it back on me the following month. Posts above have links to info and forms, here's one: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Explains situation and has link to where you can print out the claim form. It's not hard to do, I just left things blank or wrote "I don't know" in spaces that I couldn't fill out. At least they have my paperwork (I attached copy of printout of my account from CR website) and they can't say I didn't speak up. Don't know why you say it will "cost a ton to mail," two sheets of paper as I recall (form and account printout), I just stuck a 34-cent stamp on. Good luck to all. |

| OK. Thank you for the link. I went and printed the 2 page claim form to fill out. Went to CR and printed the account statement, which was one page. However not all the listed rebates are owed to me, since I did receive some of them earlier. so I clicked each order to show it's status and printed that page and then printed the pop-up too to show the status of complete and processed and the expected check date. All have expected check dates, but the ones I did not receive have no check number. I figure that fact that it is processed and they gave me an expected check date but sent no check is proof of debt. This was 28 pages. So all todgether I will be sending 31 pages and I maybe a cover letter. That is so much better that sending all the upc copies and receipts and all that. Guess I fill it out, copy it so I have a copy, and mail it off Monday. I still hate the mess you know.

| As it now stands... ...I suppose SSefscik is right. But, as Sydnie pointed out, no harm in getting those forms in. Especially since they may later spring some ridiculous deadline or CRish surprise ! Meanwhile, keep all your merchandise safe and at hand in case the returns thing is worked out. Check out, for some useful "language" that people used in talking to their CC cos: [Only registered and activated users can see links. | I doubt we will see anything back. I asked one of my laywers (who also does bankruptcy), and he gave this advice..... "Unless you lost a sizeable sum (great then $500 at the least) and you can pursue this with very little cash output (stamps and short long distance calls) it's rarely worth it. Many see only a few cents on the dollar, and the large debtors see the money first." His last words to me were (and I am out $220) "follow the internet posts on this one, but don't hold your breath." SIGH. Luckily, I sent for things I wanted, and although a tad overpriced......actually not bad for all the stuff I recieved. Most was wonderful quality......except one item on which I definetly got burnt. "Monday, June 4, 2001; 3:00pm EDT As you may have heard, CyberRebate.com, Inc. filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 on May 16, 2001, and has begun the process of reorganization..." ![]() |

| Not much to say on this one since we are all in the same boat, but I was also screwed heavily by the acts of CyberRebate. $1200+ in ordered products that never were fulfilled with a rebate. I am also owed around $1000+ in affiliate commissions while promoting their offer through linkshare. As much as I would like to, I don't expect seeing any of this money back.

| Where's your cc company on this, so far? Citibank is putting me through a lot of paperwork (huff!). Asking me to provide specific info on my attempts to return the merchandise. Well, I'd already sent Citi the relevant copies of my CR webpages and my futile attempts to get a RMA. I wonder if they actually read my letters (LOL), or just file them away and keep asking for more paperwork?! Of course, Citibank will get me for life if they do support me on this one. LOL Those purchases were made in the 30 days prior to may 16th. I wonder if your cc companies, too, are trying to ascertain customers' attempts/readiness to return the merchandise, ESPECIALLY for those in the "30 days" period? As for those smart people at Citibank, seems they didn't think it was a ripoff (in 2000, at least): [Only registered and activated users can see links. | check your emails... .. for instructions on how to keep receiving info about the CR court proceedings. They will not continue emailing the info, unless you specifically ask. Details in the mass email they sent out. |
