| Web Certificate response I tried to cut and paste their e-mail response, but I couldn't get it to work. But, basically, they said to work with CyberRebate to resolve this matter and that they knew nothing about CyberRebate declaring bankruptcy.I'm rather discouraged right now, about this & being out of work, lack of potential jobs, my Avon business floundering, so I'm putting "fighting" about this right now on "hold" for a bit. I just wanted the folks here to be aware of yet another credit card position. |

| I would appreciate everybody's advice on this. I just received a letter from my CC company, US Bank. It stated that in order for them to provide assistance for the dispute charges, customers have to attempt to return the merchanse. I called them today and mentioned CyberRebate had filed bankruptcy...etc. They are aware of the whole situation and the CS in the dispute department indicates my returns to CyberRebate would be refused and would send back to me eventually. All the CC company needs is the proof that I attempt to return the items and send them the UPS receipt. Has anybody returned the items to CyberRebate? Should I return all the items and, of course, pay more shipping? My concern is that the items we purchased might be all we would have by the end. If I returned them, I would have ended up with nothing other than CC debt. Any thought on this? ![]() |

| How about this -- send a single letter to CyberRebate address, asking for info about returns process. Send it "return receipt required" -- with any luck, it will come back to you as refused, etc. That should be proof enough for your CC company without boxing up and shipping actual merch! |

| Thanks, Sydnie. I think I will send a letter like you suggested. I might also try to return a small item via UPS, since it would not cost much and see how it goes. If that was rejected, it should be good enough a proof for CC company, since they need indication of attempted return. |

| sending back packages / CR Go to : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

As to sending packages back: I just wrote a request letter to CR for return of merchandise instructions and...blablablaba.....mailed it certified letter with return card at post office. Cost apx.,$3 Takes up to seven days to get there, fourteen days for attempted delivery and up to seven days back. (APX TIMES) I made me a copy of the exact same letter for myself and for the credit card co. When the letter comes back to you do NOT open it. Send the copy of the letter you saved and the unopened letter to them in with your dispute. OR...if you don't want to wait for the letter to come back and want to get your dispute to your c.c . co., send a copy of the letter you sent to CR with a copy of your receipt saying you have not heard anything back as of the date of your dispute letter. The bank then can review all the other information you sent them and might request the results of the letter. At that time you can mail it to them the information they request. Good luck! |

| Response from FirstUSA I got an answer from FirstUSA!!! Here's what they said: "We have resolved these disputes (for each item) and issued your account credits for the amounts of the charges. You will see these on your next monthly statement. If the merchang's bank sends evidence that these charges are valid, your accountmay be rebilled and you will be notified of the resolution." Don't know what to think. It looks like just another form letter, but they use the word "resolved." Hopefully this is the end of it! |

| the cache pages still there...print em out as proof! Extremely useful find by leenga. I had to "widen" the printable part of the page using the File->Page setup menu from my IE browser, otherwise not all words were printing. Quote:

| Return Notice on Cyberrebate.com If you've been considering returning merchandise to Cyberrebate, check out this notice on their web site: Monday, June 4, 2001; 3:00pm EDT As you may have heard, CyberRebate.com, Inc. filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11 on May 16, 2001, and has begun the process of reorganization. Some customers have attempted to send back returns to our warehouse in Ohio or other addresses. For the time being, we ask that no returns of any nature be sent to the company. We are in the process of seeking court approval of a workable return policy covering purchases in the 30 days prior to the bankruptcy filing. Until the court grants this approval, returns simply cannot be processed. Accordingly, we ask that you hold off sending any products for return until and unless we can announce a court-approved return process. We appreciate your patience as we continue to reorganize our business, and will keep you informed as the process continues. |

| Now it is possible to enter one's account... ...and print out rebate status pages. Not all "login" links on the site seemed "secure", though, but I found and used secure login. Have any of you submitted completed rebate forms postmarked after May 16th? Were they bounced back from the address, or accepted? Thanks! |

| The claim form... ... for this case came to me in the mail. Possibly, many of you got it too. In making the claim: 1) do you include items for which your cc company has already credited you? 2) do you include items for which you sent in the rebate forms, but the "rebate suibmission receiuved" confirmation never showed up on the CR pages since they declared Chapter 11 ? Any ideas? Also, are we supposed to check ourselves whether our claim is "disputed" (possibly at a bancruptcy clerk's ) ? That's the impression I got. |
