hi, there: I've been over-charge by [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] and when I call the customer swervice, they are very rude and refuse to credit my money back, so I wonder where and how can I repost this to, are there any organzation that pretect our customer's right? please help me, I'm really angry at that store ******************************************8 this is my experience I trying to buy the Minolta Dimage Scan Dual II photo scanner and I go though the pricegrabber to find the cheapest price, there are many store have the item for the same lowest price, I pick the DiscoveryCameras because I think they are expert in that, but my experience is worst . from the website, we will find the price is $399+ $18 for shipping and I order that, no confirm e_mail receieved. When I recieve it, I found the pice is wrong, it is written as $450 in my receipt plus shipping($1 , but it should be $399+18, so I go ahead and call their customer service, but according to them, they don't want to give me money back because they said they paid 10% price of the item I ordered for mailing insurance and the shipping they charge me for $25., so according to them the price is (399+25)*110%=468$ that is what appeared total in my recipt.I really don't want to bother, but if they want charge the money, they should writte it down in the website and the charge should appeared in the order while I 'm ordering, but they said nothing and in the receipt, they just said that the scanner is $450. That is strange to me because I don't authorize them to mail the item using insurance, and they don't even want to appology for that, And the customer service expert I talk with is very rude and impartient, when I asjk for the manager, he said he is the manager and refuse to credit my money back My suggestion is never order from them |

I might suggest that if you charged it on a credit card that you contact your credit card and they will give you the proceedure to go thru. If the charge is less than 90 days you have alot of rights. Also, consider returning the item and having your account credited. I hope this helps... This is why you should have a good credit card for times like these.. z77and77 Hebrews 11:1 Faith is not seen.. |

Similar thing happened to me with a health & beauty co. that shipped product, charged higher and then sold out to another co. Anyhow, what you need to do asap is contact your credit card company and place the claim through them. Once you do that, they will investigate and will not require you to pay that charge until problem is solved. they will go to bat for you as long as you can prove what the correct charge should have been - confirmation orders that are printed are a big help! good luck!!! |

It does not matter that you don't have a confirmation. Send a letter IN WRITING to your credit card company. Explain what happened. If you can find online the same site where the price was posted, print it and attach it. Let your credit card company know that you want to return the item (with no shipping fees paid by you) OR you want the difference refunded. It is very important to dispute the charges IN WRITING as this preserves your rights whereas a phone call to the cc company does not. The back of your credit card statement should have an address to mail your complaint to. Good luck, it really burns me when companies treat consumers this way.

If they still have the page with the price that you thought you were paying for, print that out, and mail it in. this is fraud, and if you got a good credit card company (like citibank, amex), they'll help you rehan |

I checked out the site briefly. There is no mention of insurance fee. And shipping charge may appear different. So, they are in the wrong. Contact your credit card company. Printout the page of the item with the price. It doesn't matter on the price of the item since they may fluctuate. The point is shipping and insurance fees. Print out page with shipping...see if you can get it to print shipping to your state. Send all these plus your copy of the charge and explain in writing where they errored. As stated, your cc should not charge you until the matter has been resolved. |

geez - i type this post - & it disappears!! (sorry for quoting your entire post, robocop) one more time: under "customer service", "our policy": Shipping: 1. All products we sell are brand new and factory fresh. 3. Shipping, Handling, and Insurance charges are additional. 4. Everything we ship is double boxed and insured for your convenience. #3 states additional shipping/handling/insurance. (obviously, they do have some probs with math - #2 is missing )i believe they were required to give you an estimate on those "additional charges" prior to billing/shipping. DO rpt to your CC co, & (gov't office) consumer affairs DiscoveryCameras.com 425 North Wood Ave. Linden, NJ 07036 good luck! |
