I don't expect to get any responses, I just need to vent. LOL
About 3 weeks ago, DH "won" a bid for a Harman Kardon receiver at Ubid. A few days later he bid on another item, that item shipped immediately! Meanwhile, the first bid was still "processing".
A week passed and he bid on yet a third item, that one also shipped within days and the first was STILL in "processing". DH sent an email and got a generic "your order is in processing" response. Well, NO FREAKIN KIDDING, we can see that! A few days passed, still nothing, so he sent a second email asking about his order. This time he received a more "personalized" response letting him know that it's taking longer than expected because it's located in a different warehouse.
Wednesday night DH sent an email in ALL CAPS asking for his product, demanding an explanation, saying that he'd like to hear from a REAL PERSON this time.... LOL it was the funniest thing because he's usually patient. Anyway, a real person did respond apologizing for the delay, saying that the item wasn't even in inventory!! Now why couldn't they have told us from the beginning?! So they gave him the option of either waiting for the item to ship later this month or use a $20 something dollar coupon towards a future bid.... he choose the latter. Now he can bid on the same item if he really wants it and get it for less using the coupon. (He's hooked on Ubid, I doubt this experience will keep him away. )
I'm just irked with them for not explaining upfront that the item wasn't in stock! Those clowns!
