Thumbs up

Just a couple words to say I have gotten some good things here. True, they are priced very high. Obviously, they have an investment deal going (too bad we can't get into that!!). But, have received my rebate checks as promised. I enter the site from ebates.com, so get money back on my purchases (which are free eventually..even S/H). Tis a good deal no matter how you look at it.

You do need to fill out rebate forms and envelopes JUST as they ask you to do. And, you need to be able to afford to wait for your refunds. Wonder if anyone has used the clothing site (maybe there is more than one??) which operates along the same lines?

Tongue be very careful!

I waited just over 4 months last time for my rebates.....but they all came! You have to be very careful while shopping there though.....says right on their site: we don't guarantee that these rebates will still be available. Obviously, the majority are...and they finally upgraded with a customer service phone number end of last year. So CAREFULLY think to yourself, would I pay $80 for this candle (just an example) if the rebate wasn't there?? I pick stuff I would buy, or if the price is reasonable...even if it's supposed to be totally free after rebate. Wish me luck. I'm awaiting over $240 dollars again!

I just received $267.00 in rebates and it took exactly 4 months!I am relieved, let me tell you! This is the 3rd time I've ordered from them and I will continue to do so.I still can't believe how much they want for their stuff!!! I can't purchase some of the items I want (even tho it's free eventually)because of the OUTRAGEOUS price!

***$90.00 for a candle I could buy locally for $5.00 is a bit much...don't you think???***

I've never used anything except regular 1st class mail and have had no problems....thus far! :- )

My checks have been coming after about 3 months' time.

Hope you'll be satisfied. Can't say it too often...,"You have to follow their directions exactly".

Question

Did anyone ever have the "Pending Further materials" posted on their rebate status?? I called and E-mailed and they said its a temporary computer glitch. Should I believe them? I have a copy of the submission.. everything was included. (and I didnt forget the code on the envelope)

Let me know if you had a similar experience..

thanks

Haven't had the problem, but perhaps some good reader will have an ans. for you.

Would say that faxing or mailing them copies of all your paper work might help. Can believe the thing about computers!! They're only as smart as the humans!! Hee,hee,hee.......and some of us do have a few short circuits in spots (or are we senior citizens the only ones to fall prey to this sort of thing???!!!). :- )

Pls. let us all know how it works out in case we have the same thing happen.

Blessings..and hang in there...

Yes... I had the pending needed note also. I talked to CS and they said it was a computer glitch, but it meant, that the rebate submission had not been received yet. I waited a few more days and checked and then it said RECEIVED. So hopefully, CS really knew what they were talking about!!!! I love CyberRebate, but I must admit, it is abit scary. I had an idea. I received a new credit card app in the mail, ZERO % on purchases until September 2001. The idea is, get the card, it only takes a couple weeks to get it back, then use it to make the purchases on CyberRebate. If you time it just right, you should be able to get the rebates in order to pay the card... Ya Just Gotta BE CAREFUL!!! Just an idea!

Shocked CyberRebate scares me

CyberRebate is like a horror flick. You are scared, but something makes you want to get in on the action. I just bought a $170 DVD which is my 3rd purchase. I recently received my $99.99 check for my first purchase made on 10/30/00. So far so good, but how do they stay in business? That's a lot of free goods to give away, even if the occasional customer screws up the rebate and pays the retail price 8 times over. And the value of them using your money for 4 months...does that come close to the cost of the goods, shipping and processing? Is this a Ponzi scheme that entices you into investing tons of money until one day the bottom falls out, CyberRebate declares bankruptcy and you're kicking yourself for your brilliant purchase of "Meet The Parents" on DVD for ONLY $169.99???

If everything on CR's side goes well, you get your rebate in almost five months (Added the amount of time from actuall purchase to the time they receive your forms, and start the 16 week clock).

That being said, If CR ever makes a mistake, like sending you the wrong product, then you are screwed. They will not admit mistakes and they have no incentive to correct their error. Since everything on their end is cross referenced, there is nothing you can do if you have the wrong product.

This situation happened to me and after two years I gave up. Two different orders, two mistakes. Elliot Plotnick, who promised to take care of the situation, stopped taking my calls.

Remember, you can do no wrong, but if they err, you are out a ton of money.

Thumbs down

I haven't had a fully good experience with them in my two orders.

First order, they sent me a mug that was broken by the time I got it. It was packaged extremely poorly and they wouldn't give me my money back; I ended up having to fill out the rebate. So I got my money back, but all that trouble for a broken mug.

This last time was much worse. I got the pending message like others have mentioned. Now they are trying to tell me that three of my four rebates were too late. Well they weren't! I've got a US postal receipt for 4 PVI labels to their zip code that I'll send them if need be to show them that I did mail it before their "postmark by" date. I've contacted them several times and don't seem to be getting very far yet. Very frustrating.
