From my $150 MCI GC, I have about $30 balance remaining. It doesn't show on my account... I have called CS twice and twice been promised resolution. This was 6 weeks ago. I am getting fed up!! Anyone else? |

I kept having problems with them not shipping the stuff I ordered with my GC in time for Christmas. I would speak to someone, they would tell me the problem was handled, then I would check the site and it would still not show shipped. I finally started writing down who I spoke to and when. Then when I called back I asked for the same person, they weren't there so I asked to speak to a supervisor. That person finally straightened it all out for me but it was quite a hassle. It was there loss, tho, because they ended up having to overnight ship 3 items and I had free shipping to begin with! I say keep calling till it gets resolved!! (I know that's a pain, tho and you shouldn't have to!)

That's true. It WILL show up when you purchase another item. I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago,called cs and found this out. Seems as though, for some reason, their system doesn't recognize it as an actual coupon and that is why this happens. Additional note: CS also advised NOT to cancel an order that you place using this GC - rather, return the item after receiving it - this will cause you to loose ALL of your balance of this GC and it is unretrievable at that point.

I had the same problem...ordered a DVD using the MCI coupon then wanted to go back and use the balance in conjunction with another coupon for a Handspring Prism. The balance my MCI GC was not showing up in my account and it wouldn't allow me to use the other coupon towards the purchase! Amazon customer service was wonderful and took both coupons off my purchases...I had my orders in 3 days!

Can I ask what number everyone is calling for Amazon customer service? I tried looking at their site yesterday for a number and all I came up with was emailing them. I have two orders from 1/11 that I have not received shipping emails on yet and I would really like to follow up on those. Thanks for the help |

Smhop, I have had the very same difficulty with Amazon in regards to getting GC funds credited back to my account. I've called their Customer Service 3 times so far with no resolution. They not only deducted funds from my GC that they should not have, but in addition mistakenly charged my credit card for part of my order. I have tried to be patient and work this out with Amazon, but it is getting ridiculous. The last CS rep I spoke with let it slip that problems with MCI GCs are getting low priority. I'm not ready to dump Amazon as a vendor; however, I can't help but compare their customer service to that of Barnes & Noble and Buy.com, and Amazon comes out looking very bad.
