Okay I have to vent.

I got my paper this morning and on the back page of FYE ad it states "All used CDs, DVDs & Games $7.99 or 3 for $20 mix and match" No stars no notes for exceptions no nothing. I figured they must by doing a used blow out or something so my boyfriend and I ran out right at 10 am when they opened to shop around. After spending an hour in the store we both picked out three things each. Walking in there is NO Disclaimer stating misprint in ad or that there was any mistake. We went to cash out had the ad WITH us. The cashier rang me out and THEN states "oh that means 3 7.99 or less for 20 dollars" I read it again and read it to her. The words 7.99 or less do not appear on the add at all. Now I know we were not the only ones to read the ad becuase actually there were 3-4 people in line behind my boyfriend all there for the same "sale". I questioned it and the cashier went to get the "assistant manager" who did not give us his name or anything. He proceeds to tell me that I read the ad wrong. Then the story changed to "its just a simple one word misprint. As I said before the ad word for word exactly states:

ALL USED CDS, DVDS & GAMES
$7.99 or 3 for $20
MIX & MATCH

I worked customer service for years so I kept myself calm and did not yell or scream.. The Asst Manager then states "all the complaining will not get you anywhere your wasting your time, you're a moron if you believe that's what the ad said"

Now I am quite unhappy and I said I will contact the BBB. The "manager" then stated I would be wasting my time becuase the BBB cannot do anything they are just a company to complain to.


The sad thing is, in the past month my boyfriend and I have spent over $250 with FYE got both membership cards I doubt we will use them again.

The sad part is, not only did we walk out of the store buying nothing (we had about $50 worth of non sale stuff we were buying as well), the 3 people behind us walked out as well.


I have already emailed the BBB as well as our AG and our local News Watch team for consumer complaints.
