I have had an account with tel3 for perhaps 1 year.At first they were fair and acurate.I do not have auto-recharge.They charged my account 100$ without my permission and put only 66$ in my account.The calls I make cost aprox.5$. When I use there service again,my new balance is 44$.I make another 5$ call.Two weeks later,now, my balance is 12$.I have made only 3 very short phone calls and it has costed me 100$.There seems to be an abundance of mistakes in this company.Stupidity is inconcistant! If these are mistakes, why is it always in their favor?Maybe this company has not RIPPED YOU OFF yet,but I am one of the many people that have been RIPPED OFF ROYALLY!!! by tel3.

I was attracted to the DealofDay.com website from a Google listing saying negative things about Tel3.com.

I have had an account with Tel3Advantage.com for almost a year. I think they are affiliated companies but with different websites. I have worked in the telephone long distance industry for nearly 10 years and have been burned personally from companies that ended up defrauding their customers. I personally lost nearly $10,000.00 from various outfits so I'm no stranger to what can happen with businesses like this.

Tel3Advantage may or may not be affiliated with one another, I'm not sure. But the service I've had with Tel3Advantage has been very good and with no negative surprises.

They bill in 60 second increments. That might be a lot if their minute rate was high, but it's only 1.9 cents/min for USA48 calls if you can connect to their facilities by a local area access number. That means if they have a local number in your community you won't need to use their 800 number which them 1 or 2 cents per minute to access their service facilities.

Starting with them for only $10, I was worried about being ripped off again. I've recharged only 1 time since then for $25 and currently still have around $14.00 credit on my account. It's really a good deal for USA calling. I am not experienced with their international service yet.

I regret that you had a negative experience. In my case, adversity caused me to do as much research as possible before signing up with just "any" long distance provider. I am working toward selling their products because I have had a good experience with them.

to my knowledge, this company might be having goofups with the cc charging, but IS NOT the outright fraudelent type. I do advise that if using the "50 free mins" offer, just discard the card after using initial 40-45 minutes, or you'll get billed at the 50th minute or so.
And their CS is quite hard to get.

Sorry to hear when anyone has a bad experience with phone cards. I used to sell phone cards to stores and am all to aware of tricks of most phone cards. Had a stroke so now can't drive to service stores any more, but I can type an email and answer questions.

There is a better way to buy long distance phone time. For the past 5 years I have been as a customer of 3 companies and sell for 2 of them.

Tel3.com (not Tel3.com Phone Cards) gives 1.9 cts/min and Onesuite.com gives 2.9 cts/min for USA calls and the other is especially good for international calling. None of the 3 has ever charged me a maintenance fee or "other" fee of any kind.

Sendglobal.com Anyone can sign up yourselves and get a $1 credit on a new account. If you are a volume user you'll want to pay the $5 to qualify for the much cheaper ELITE fees. If you let me do it I can "Give" you much better ELITE fees for free. Just need a phone number and your email address. No credit cards until you use your dollar and like the service.
