| Stamps.com BAD NEWS!!!!!!!! AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!!!!! This has been a nightmare and I can't seem to wake up! I canceled my account with Stamps.com and my debit card associated with that account back in January 06. I was checking my bank statement and there was a debit out of my bank account made by Stamps.com in the amount of $63.96(4 months after closing my account) I called Stamps.com to find out why and how they charged my account. The lady told me that I never canceled my account and that my financial institution forwarded them my new bank card information...which I questioned and found out to be a lie because my financial institution told me they do not forward any information to anyone. The truth was they used my old cards authorization number to get my new card information and charge it! This is considered theft and fraud but Stamps.com says they are allowed to do this! I have filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC and still have not received my money back. I have put in a dispute with my bank and canceled my card again. I have sent emails asking customer service to forward them to management but they told me they can't do that and I would have to call and talk to a manager which is impossible! To top this all off I made sure my account was indeed closed and the rep told me I will be charged a additional $15.99 for 3 days!!! If your one of those customers that love Stamps.com and they are the best then your time will be coming sooner then later. !!!!!!STAMPS.COM SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!! Hopefully if there is enough complaints that might just happen.

| Stamps.com BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!
I joined Stamps.com and they advertise free postage, free meter. Guess what? The $25.00 you pay each month, doesn't include postage., and you only get the meter by running circles with email. I called to cancel today after losing a couple of months of automatic deductions. Then they wanted to charge me for the coming month. They're bad news. Stay away |

Hi Gene, I'm with you on Stamps.com. Internet postage is a wonderful and convenient thing, but Stamps.com gives it a bad name. I tried them out last fall, and they went so far as to charge me for the "free" month after it was over. But, thankfully, they are not the only game in town. Go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

| Re: Stamps.com BAD NEWS!!!!!!!!
I went for the FREE trial subscription. I am in the midst of trying to get my money back. I tried to cancel online, which I couldn't find any other way to cancel, and so I sent their eform. A few days later I get one saying I can't cancel by email and to call. I work long hours and don't have time to call them. So, I email back. This goes on for a week. On top of all this, I told them my father is dying and I just can't deal with having to call them up and cancel. They decide they will accept my email cancellation, but they are going to charge me the flat $15.99 because I cancelled after the end of my trial period. Well, I cancelled within the trial period, they just didn't accept it until a week later. Then they charge my account another $15.99, saying the first 15.99 was for the month that I had my trial subscription, and this is for the next month! I never got the welcome packet, so when I decided to cancel, I just printed up a bunch of envelopes with postage on them. Of course, you can't just print blank envelopes, so I had to think of some people I was going to mail things to in the near future. I intend to go to the BBB site. Did anyone get their money back by doing that? |

Unfortunately, their TOS does clearly state that you must CALL in order to cancel your membership. I'm sorry that you had such a hard time with them. I only joined to earn points through one of my offer completion sites & I quit without printing any postage, within one day of joining, for fear of being charged myself.

I too only joined to earn $ from a survey. However, I decided to use the postage as well. While their terms are stated on their website, they are NOT posted anywhere in the area where you log in to print postage. When you download their program, you get an icon to click on to print postage. I searched thoroughly for a way to cancel before using their eform. It honestly didn't occur to me that this wasn't their "site", but only the program to print postage. I still don't know why they are charging me for the FREE trial!!!

Hi! I had a similarly difficult experience with Stamps.com - signed up through a paid trial, and they charged me $25 for the "free" month. Customer service isn't the greatest...you definitely have to call to get anything rectified because they won't make any account changes via email. After 20 minutes on hold though, they did refund me everything! I think it's just one of those companies that you need to hold your ground with. |

I called Stamps.com's Customer Service to tell them it was deceptive to charge someone for the "free" month after they cancel their service. I requested to have the $$ they charged credited back to me. I stayed firm, and was probably on the phone with them for at least 20 minutes, and it was maddening as the Customer Service Rep spoke really broken English. But he finally did credit me back. (And what made me even madder is I never received credit for completing Stamps.com on Cashcrate!!!) My advice: Endicia.com---Endicia.com---Endicia.com

My email to Stamps.com, they charged me $335.79 after 34 months of discontinued service. ------------------------- Dear Sir, After recent review of my PayPal account I found a charge on Feb 3 for $335.79 from Stamps.com. I used your service a couple of YEARS ago and spent a little over $1100.00 with your company. After I no longer needed your service I received emails from your company saying my credit card on file was expired. I responded to several emails to cancel my account that were ignored. I then just started ignoring the emails. I have not used your service for 34 months (told me by your rep). You now reward me as a good customer with a bogus charge for $335.79. After contacting Victor (employee 6596) he told me he would reduce the charges back 8 months. I could hardly believe my ears. Is this what Internet business integrity is coming to? I have filed a dispute with PayPal for the charge. I will wait 48 hours for your response before contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint. Please do the right thing and restore my confidence in Stamps.com Are there so many good customers that you can afford to do business this way at the risk of some who will never return for your service? Regards, lschoon |

| Stamps.com charged my card $335 after discontinued service of 34 months
After I stopped using their services (having purchased $1100 of service) over 34 months ago, I get charged $335.79 on my Paypal Card. They continually emailed me asking for an updated credit card. I answered asking them to close the account. 34 months later they get access to a new card and reward me as a good past customer with a charge of $335.79. I called and they offered to reduce the charges back eight months. This is unacceptable! Are there so many customers willing to put up with such abuse that companies can do business this way. Do they really think we'll keep silent. |
