I've seriously thought about giving them a try, but after reading your nightmare - never, never, never will I do it. If you know the exact amt that they will deduct from your acct you might be able to have your bank "stop payment" on that particular amt. Unfortunately if you do this and have a legimate same amt yr bank will stop that payment as well. Again, thank you so much for the information!

People the trials are ok i cancelled mine in a sec. If you actually signed up for Stamps.com. It is better to cancel your account by phone. Then the process is smooth.

THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT CAUGHT WITH THE SAME BS. They claim to give you a "trial" period and charge you before it's over and refuse to give a refund. I had to contact my credit card company to remove the charges. They are a POORLY RUN BUSINESS, ABSOLUTE VULTURES, and simply unnecessary! You can go online to the USPS and do that yourself! YOu don't need them and that ridiculous software. STAMPS.COM should go out of business, and hopefully will soon! DON'T PURCHASE THEIR SOFTWARE OR SERVICE, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

So sorry to hear about all the trouble you've had with Stamps.com. How frustrating! I signed up for the trial in December and have continued to use their service. I've been happy with it so far. But now I'm wondering what will happen if I decide to cancel...

I tried to cancel mine but they were always "out". My free trial has been up but I had to close the debit card they were billing me on due to identity theft so every once in a while I get a "payment declined" email. Oh well, I'm "out".

anyone ever notice it just says - "No Risk Trial" - I dont see any lines stating the 1st month is free. Basically its free to try and if you like it you agree to pay for the month you used it, or if you cancel it was no risk and you are not charged. Sounds pretty straight forward to me. Reading = win. ![]() I use it to print all of my stamps.. even more worth it durring holidays. /R |

And they charged me for it anyway. |

Stamps.com customer service in India. They read from a script. Had to call another number 877-395-4918 just to hear them read from the same script that they won't refund money. Thank you American Express! I called and bounced the $17.99 charge with Amex. I requested that Amex terminate Stamps.com as a vendor. I believe they are a fraud. My experience with Stamps.com sucked. Try to cancel your account. I had to call my bank to put a stop payment. After I argued with the customer rep for 20 minutes, he told me finaly that he would cancel my account. Sure enough, I was charged the $15.99 the following month. Stamps.com SUCKS.

Agreed re Stamps.com. Nothing during the membership got done without lengthy and sometimes repeated phone calls. Their customer service hours are bad--as I recall, they operate on Pacific time, thus not available nearly half of the EST workday, and not on weekends, when one tends to have some willingness for long hold times etc. Hint for those still trapped: when you want service sooner rather than later, press the option for "cancel" in the initial set of options in the automated Customer Service menu. They put their best people in the "cancel" phone room, because what they really are is salespeople. You WILL get the service you want by pressing "cancel"-- when cancel is not really what you want to do. When I had had it and went to cancel both a home and work account, a guy went wild with efforts to keep me on in spite of my account notes being replete with problems. He should have gotten a bonus for how hard he made it for me to cancel, but I was not deterred. Has anyone who's canceled, been able to use their 5 lb USB scale after canceling? Would love to hear how.
