RETRACTION. While we had failed to carefully read the coupon, neither did the cashier or store manager we talked to and both tried to convince us that the results are the same no matter which way you calcualte it. Obviously they are not. Their failure to explain the coupons terms and incorrect mathamatical explanation caused our concern.

After thinking about it and before pursuing it further, in the interest of accuracy, we decided to search the Kohl's web site to see if we could find the same coupon and after some effort we did. The coupon clearly states in the fine print that any dollar off coupon is deducted before any % off coupon is applied.

As long time and substantial Kohl's shoppers our faith is restored in this great company.

P.S. This situation also included an advertised internet special that this store only recognized after persistance from us. Problem is obviously local.

Glad to hear you've gotten it straightened out. I think it is probably local, and during the Holiday season there are so many temporary workers things do get confused and confusing!
