Does anyone know of a site that is signing people up for magazines without their permission? Last month I started receiving TV Guide which I never signed up for. When I got the bill I wrote CANCEL on it and they eventually stopped coming. Now today I received a copy of Entertainment magazine which I also didn't sign up for. I haven't gotten a bill for that one yet but I'm sure its just a matter of time. I found out that I'm not alone and others as well have gotten these magazines and don't know why. Does anyone know what site is responsible for this?

YES....actually I found out and the site is milesource.com. I called them and gave them a piece of my mind!

ned215. I also just started receiving TV Guide and did not order it. I've gotten two issues and 2 bills. I wrote on the first bill "cancel" and mailed it back at my expense. I hope they don't pester me about it.

Are you sure Milesource is responsible for both magazines?
My sister also got subscribed to Entertainment magazine (but not TV Guide) and she claims she's never been to the Milesource site before.

The TV Guide is definitely from Milesource. Do you do Start Sampling? They have Entertainment weekly magazine on their site as a free sample-but if you read the fine print it is only a trial and I think you have to cancel after you get 2 magazines (or when you get the bill-just write cancel on it!)

I do milesource.com and was wondering if anyone knows what you do that triggers the subscription. Don't want it to happen to me if I can help it.

I'm not sure if this is true in all 50 states (which I'd assume would be, since it's postal regulations.) but I know for sure that it is in NY. If you receive something in the mail that you did not ask for, sign up, order, etc...then, under postal regulations, it is considered a GIFT that you do not have to pay for. No, you don't have to send it back either - you are to consider it a gift from the company. You don't have to send back bills marked "cancel" or anything like that. Wait for them to call you, asking when you are going to pay and say, "Never. You sent this to me w/o my asking and I'm to consider it a gift according to US Postal regulations. Thanks for the free magazine subscription." Watch and see how fast they'll cancel it. And, if they try and make you pay, you have a tight case in court. They'll never win.

I got the TV Guide too which I don't even like.I thought I clicked on something (maybe I did), but how strange not to remember a magazine (that you don't even like).I wrote cancel on it and the copies that have come will go in the recycling bin.I really don't think it was milesource.I thought maybe that Lotto site.

I have been getting tons and tons of magazines I thought that my teenagers were doing it. Glad to know that it wasnt. thanks for posting this wait till I get ahold of mile source!!!!!!

i can`t even count on my fingers the number of magazines i have gotten...within the last month or so.i did sign up for milesource.thanks for letting us know where all that mess came from.i kept telling my husband "but i didn`t order it!!"
