Coke Rewards problem

I am having a problem with getting my magazine subscription to Cosmopolitan. I traded in 144 points to get this subscription, I entered the code and did everything right. Cosmo tells me they have no record of this subscription. I email coke and they never return my emails. I think I just got "got" by coke. Has anyone heard about magazine subscription problems with coke or what I should do? Thanks!!

Oh no, that's awful. Do you still have the codes? I'd do it all over again, and since they think you never did it...you may get the magazine. It's not your fault that someone on that end messed up. Good luck,

They took the points when I got the subscription. I hope they give them back. I will be so mad if they don't give them back.

Ouch! Is there any way you can "call" Coke and ask for a Supervisor? You may get somewhere that way. Who knows where the emails are even going?

I called coke today and they said they are closed for the "holiday". What holiday!! I know its not the 4th yet. I'm gonna call them until their so called "holiday" is over and someone answers the phone. Maybe it might say something different for someone else. The number I called was 1866-674-2653, this is the number on the coke bottle.

I was just staring at one of our Coke bottles and got this phone # from it; it's a different one than the one you have - might as well try it?

It's: 1-800-438-2653
It's for Comsumer Information, but you've BEEN a comsumer and if they answer the phone (in the first place) and don't know what to tell you, they may be able to either transfer you to someone who does, or give you a correct number. It's worth a try.........My Gosh, it took me forever to find that number - talk about printing it in TEENY letters!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for that #, so much. I called it and they pulled my info and gave me a direct number to cosmopolitan, well hearst actually. A number totally different from the one on hearst's website. They have a number listed that was disconnected, talk about unprofessional. So, I talk to them and they tell me they received my information on June 26 and to give them 6-8 weeks from this date to expect my 1st magazine. The thing is though, I redeemed my points for this magazine on May 4th. I'm wondering if they happened to forget about it and just put my information in today, and just made up that date. I don't know, but I just think it's wierd that it takes almost 2 months just to enter my info. into their system. Talk about slow. Thank you again so much katlnhats for that number and thanks to everyone else for your comments, I really appreciate it.

You're welcome! Though it sounds SLOW, and that's not right; though I had a similar experience with a different online merchant - at least you'll be getting it! I had to file a complaint with the online Better Busines Bureau, which would've been my next suggestion. There's just no need for these type of things to happen. Glad you're getting your magazine. (in a few weeks, of course, but still)!!!!

Yes, I think its so wrong to do that to people. I don't think people should have to go on a hunt to find out what happens to the things they've won. I didn't know there was an online BBB, but I'm glad I know now. It just annoyed me when they said they imputed my info. at the end of June when I entered it at the beginning of May. Suckers,lol!!

I used them once - after trying to straighten out the problem for almost 5 months - they (there's a place where you click on file a complaint), and they transfer your complaint to the nearest office to where the company you did business with is - in your case, it would have been Coke, I think as it all started with them, and they really "do" get right on it - in a couple days, I had a full refund PLUS 10% of what I spent from an online merchant - they really help.

I wonder how many people--I'd guess it's a lot!--don't pursue this kind of thing, but just let it go or get frustrated on the first go-round and give up. Even though Coke points aren't actual money, you could have redeemed them for something else--hopefully more reliably!--so they're still a type of currency, and presumably Coke paid them for the subscription, and Hearst dropped the ball. There must be a tremendous amount of money that just slips through the cracks like this, and the businesses benefit from their own inefficiency. (A scam, of course, is a totally different thing. I'm talking about pure carelessness here, human error that doesn't get caught or followed up on.) Glad you got it resolved!!
