AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!!!!! This has been a nightmare and I can't seem to wake up! I canceled my account with Stamps.com and my debit card associated with that account back in January 06. I was checking my bank statement and there was a debit out of my bank account made by Stamps.com in the amount of $63.96(4 months after closing my account) I called Stamps.com to find out why and how they charged my account. The lady told me that I never canceled my account and that my financial institution forwarded them my new bank card information...which I questioned and found out to be a lie because my financial institution told me they do not forward any information to anyone. The truth was they used my old cards authorization number to get my new card information and charge it! This is considered theft and fraud but Stamps.com says they are allowed to do this! I have filed complaints with the BBB and the FTC and still have not received my money back. I have put in a dispute with my bank and canceled my card again. I have sent emails asking customer service to forward them to management but they told me they can't do that and I would have to call and talk to a manager which is impossible! To top this all off I made sure my account was indeed closed and the rep told me I will be charged a additional $15.99 for 3 days!!! If your one of those customers that love Stamps.com and they are the best then your time will be coming sooner then later. !!!!!!STAMPS.COM SHOULD BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS!!!!!! Hopefully if there is enough complaints that might just happen.

| My email to Stamps.com, they charged me $335.79 after 34 months of discontinued service. ------------------------- Dear Sir, After recent review of my PayPal account I found a charge on Feb 3 for $335.79 from Stamps.com. I used your service a couple of YEARS ago and spent a little over $1100.00 with your company. After I no longer needed your service I received emails from your company saying my credit card on file was expired. I responded to several emails to cancel my account that were ignored. I then just started ignoring the emails. I have not used your service for 34 months (told me by your rep). You now reward me as a good customer with a bogus charge for $335.79. After contacting Victor (employee 6596) he told me he would reduce the charges back 8 months. I could hardly believe my ears. Is this what Internet business integrity is coming to? I have filed a dispute with PayPal for the charge. I will wait 48 hours for your response before contacting the Better Business Bureau to file a formal complaint. Please do the right thing and restore my confidence in Stamps.com Are there so many good customers that you can afford to do business this way at the risk of some who will never return for your service? Regards, lschoon |

| Re: AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING PRACTICES OMG - I am so GLAD you told me about them!! I've seriously thought about giving them a try, but after reading your nightmare - never, never, never will I do it. If you know the exact amt that they will deduct from your acct you might be able to have your bank "stop payment" on that particular amt. Unfortunately if you do this and have a legimate same amt yr bank will stop that payment as well. Again, thank you so much for the information!

| Re: AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING PRACTICES People the trials are ok i cancelled mine in a sec. If you actually signed up for Stamps.com. It is better to cancel your account by phone. Then the process is smooth. |

| Re: AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING PRACTICES THIS COMPANY IS TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I GOT CAUGHT WITH THE SAME BS. They claim to give you a "trial" period and charge you before it's over and refuse to give a refund. I had to contact my credit card company to remove the charges. They are a POORLY RUN BUSINESS, ABSOLUTE VULTURES, and simply unnecessary! You can go online to the USPS and do that yourself! YOu don't need them and that ridiculous software. STAMPS.COM should go out of business, and hopefully will soon! DON'T PURCHASE THEIR SOFTWARE OR SERVICE, EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Re: AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING PRACTICES So sorry to hear about all the trouble you've had with Stamps.com. How frustrating! I signed up for the trial in December and have continued to use their service. I've been happy with it so far. But now I'm wondering what will happen if I decide to cancel... ![]()

| Re: AVOID STAMPS.COM AT ALL COST!! BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BILLING PRACTICES I tried to cancel mine but they were always "out". My free trial has been up but I had to close the debit card they were billing me on due to identity theft so every once in a while I get a "payment declined" email. Oh well, I'm "out".
