| Mypoints froze me? Well, I went to log into my my points account yesterday to find that my account is frozen and I was not longer getting any e-mails from them. I e-mailed them to find out what is going on. They never sent a reply. Finaly today I get a canned e-mail telling me my account is frozen for violating their TOS. They did not tell me what I did wrong and as far as I can tell I never violated a single rule. Is this normal for them? I asked them to explain and I have not heard back yet. I have never ordered a thing from them. I have spent quite a bit of money through them and ALWAYS answered all surveys truthfully and honestly. I was just banking up my points to get something good for the misses and I. Do I have any recourse? Is there another site out there that is legitimate and won't do this? Thank you for your time, Ben

| Re: Mypoints froze me? Mypoints froze me too because I had an account in my name and Dh's name. They said you are only allowed one per household. But they did respond and explain why. And thankfully then only froze one of they accounts. |

| Re: Mypoints froze me? I have sent numerous e-mails and recieved no reply. I looked up their number and called.. no answer. Several of my friends here where I work have had their account frozen also and not heard back from them. I had alot of points and spent alot of money through their site and then they turn around and pull a stunt like this... |

| I too am experiencing this problem. I’ve used MyPoints.com for 7+ years now and have cashed in on a few hundred dollars in gift cards a few years back with no problem. Right now my account is has over 72,000 points saved up and suddenly they decide to freeze the account. It looks to me like MyPoints.com is being underhanded. Once an account starts to gather a good deal of points, they’re going to freeze your account and leave you no way of contacting them to resolve the problem. I always worried about things like this happening. If I would have used my head, I would have cashed out every time I had a few thousand points. You would think that a company like MyPoints.com would be glad to have members that bring in a lot of business, but it looks like they’re really out to use and abuse their members. |

| Re: Mypoints froze me? Thats awful!!!! I do know though if there are several accounts under the same household they will cancel accounts. I learned this from another rewards site I'm registered at. I'm scared to loose my points, thats why I only have 1 account. I pray you get this resolved, so keep at 'em, don't let them get away with messing you over!! |

Hi, I'm not a member of mypoints, but what I'd do, since your accounts are frozen and you get no replys to your e-mails and/or phone calls is to contact the online Better Business Bureau - free to file a complaint and they "will" check it out for you (quickly too), and do everything that they can to resolve the problem. This just sounds so wrong! Let me find the link for you -- I have used them once in the past and they straightened out my complaing with an online merchant in a couple days. | Thank you divalicious504 & thank you katlnhats for the website. I took your advice and filed a complaint with the BBB just a few minutes ago. I'll post any information that I receive, good news or bad, so that other people out there may be able to learn from all of this. Maybe I can save someone a few steps in the future. I myself didn’t have more than one account open so I’m still baffled as to what’s going on. I’ll be moving in a few months so I’ll have a new address and I can start all over from scratch (using a different name of course). I really hope it won’t come to that. |

The fact that you didn't have more than 1 account give them NO reason to do that to you, and even if you did have more than one, they should send you an email asking about mutiple accounts, not just suspending it. If you move, I would definitely make another account. I have points going w/ rewardtv, and if they suspended me like that, I'd be upset also. I'm just glad you filed a complaint w/ BBB. GET 'EM!!! lol |

| The thing that gets my goat is how they conduct business, or better yet, how they’re not conducting it. I mean, how would it look if a company, like Best Buy (who has the Reward Zone program) for example, gave you cash valued coupons of lets say $50… Now, you take that $50 coupon to Best Buy, pick out something to purchase and go to the checkout counter just to have the cashier say “You account is frozen” and then all the employees act like you no longer exist from that point on. Best Buy would start suffering customer wise if that’s how they conducted business (not that I’m for or against Best Buy – it was just the first store that popped into my head). I think that if I screwed up somehow, then they MyPoints.com should just come right out and say, “Hey, we froze your account because you did/didn’t <blank>…” and let me take my lumps for not following their rules. The way they don’t respond to the e-mails and phone calls is just childish. It’d be nice is the BBB could straighten them out a bit, but I won’t get my hopes up too high, but I won’t just roll over either! ;-) |

For the past 4 days I've been filling out offers and surveys, and I think I was earning too much, so they terminated me. I've had the service for about 4 weeks. | Re: Mypoints froze me? I received the same message. We shall wait together, LOL. InboxDollars wrote me back telling me that terminated my account b/c an email from one of the survey companies was marked as spam. OH NO THEY DIDN'T!!! If aol marked a message as spam that wasn't my fault and they shouldn't have terminated me b/c of that, maybe take away points that were given to me by that company would have been justified, but not termination. MyPoints is just as b/c I think you have to put in more work with mypoints and you do with InboxDollars.
