| Any experiences with Allzines.Com? I am looking for feedback from anyone who has used the Allzines merchants for new magazine subscriptions here at Deal of the Day. Last weekend I created an account on their website in order to request a new magazine subscription, filled out the form for the subscription, and received an online receipt for my purchase (which I printed out). I received a message indicating I would receive a confirmation email, which I never received. I managed to forget my password on my newly created account (I had too many things going on the day I created my account!!), so I logged in and requested that my password be sent to my email address. No email with a new password has ever been sent to my email address. I tried several times to request my password be sent via email, but no luck. I used Allzine.com's "contact" screen to report my forgotten password as a problem and received a problem ticket number from their problem reporting system. I also received a copy of my problem ticket via email, so I know my email is working ok. It seems like it is taking an awful long time for them to send my password info to my email address...... Just looking for feedback from anyone who has used this particular merchant.....thanks in advance.

| Similar experience I have ordered through them and recieved shabby treatment. I don't buy through them anymore because of it. Most recently Ive gotten my magazine subs from [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? Thanks for the info about magdealer.com - I'll have to check it out. I wanted to purchase a magazine subscription as a holiday gift for a family member this year and did some Internet searches to find who had the cheap yearly rates. There were a number that were very low, but I hadn't heard of the sites before, so I decided to go with allzines.com since they are a merchant here at Deal of the Day. I've always had such great experiences with the merchants at this site, as well as all the folks who share their info by posting in the various forums. Anyway, I was in a hurry the day I created my account on allzines.com and picked what I thought was an easy-to-remember password - wrong! A few days later I wanted to check my account and couldn't remember my password, so I requested a new one be sent to my email addy. I find it hard to believe that it would take someone from their site a week to send me a password......... Thanks for the input. I am sorry to hear that you also had a bad experience with them - at least I know they really do sell magazine subscriptions. To be honest, I was beginning to wonder whether it was some type of scam or something just to get credit card info from folks. I mean, it does seem a bit strange that it takes so long just to get a new password - it's almost like they don't want me to check on my account status..... |

| I wish I had read this before I renewed my subscription to TV Guide through Allzines. They immediately debited my credit card in March, but I never heard another word from them. When my subscription ran out, I tried to E-mail them, but so far no action on their part and I think I am out my first payment. There is no telephone contact and I wonder why I trusted them in the first place. Oh well, maybe the $6.80 was well spent if I learn something from it. DO NOT GO THERE. |

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? I don't know what's actually going on with them, but if you go to their site, you'll find that they have NO magazines, no matter which category you choose! I even searched Time, figuring that anyplace is going to have that one, and it's not there. They simply have no stock whatsoever, so my guess is that the site's dead, but the body just hasn't been removed for burial yet....![]()

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? If you're going to do business with these folks, you'll probably want this link, so that you can file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Accord to BBB's records, they've received almost 300 complaints about this firm... not including the one I just submitted about my subscription (which the publisher says they've still not received, 16 weeks after it was ordered and paid at allzines.com). These guys are bad news. |

I recently had a bad experience with a seller on a major online auction site who did not send the item I had paid for - the complaint department of this auction site provided me with several fraud related websites that might be helpful to folks dealing with allzines.com. Other websites to file complaints against allzines.com include: [Only registered and activated users can see links. | Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? Kenv98223, thanks again for the BBB link - it had not occurred to me to file a complaint with them. In my case, it did some good - within a day I had a response from my BBB complaint that the company had refunded my money. I verified that the full amount they charged me for my subscription was credited to my credit card. ![]() |

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? I don't know if anyone will read this since the last post was so long ago. I complained to BBB about Allzines and they said nothing about prior complaints. Since they are not a member they don't have to respond but they did try. I then sent all the info, emails, BBB report to the State of WA attorney general's office but after no response from Allzines they said they could not do anything unless they got more complaints. They would keep mine on file. So if you want to complain complain to them and lets shut this ripoff place down. You can download a complaint form from the Attorney general website for State of WA. I got one magazine but not the other. Fortunately I only paid for 3 months on that one. |

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? We had a complaint at Mondoagency about person paying but not getting a magazine say 2 months ago. The trouble is we couldn't proceed with investigation because the complainant was very fishy too. My bet is he used a stolen credit card. But judging by your posts there is the other side of the coin. |

| Re: Any experiences with Allzines.Com? Oh, trust me, this company is a real rip off. I pursued it to no avail because I wanted to stop them. Maybe if enough people complain they will. Since it is small amounts people don't bother. I am old school and still did but it is hardly a priority with the AG of Washington unless they get enough complaints. |
