Satisfaction dealing with Overstock.com Before Christmas I ordered an artificial Christmas tree from Overstock.com. When I opened the package I found the four plastic legs that make up the stand were broken in pieces. I emailed Overstock and asked them to send me replacement parts. I went through several email back-and-forths before being told they could not send replacement parts. I decided to return the tree and had a frustrating experience trying to get an RMA number and return label. Then I came online and found a post on this forum complaining about Overstock with a reply from Steve Johnson at Overstock.com who offered to assist with any customer issues. I decided to take him up on his offer to help. I got an immediate response, received the label returned the tree without incurring any return shipping costs and got a credit on my credit card. However, I did not get the whole amount credited, part of the credit was a store credit and I was not happy about that. So I emailed Steve Johnson back and let him know. He immediately rectified it by giving me an additional credit on my credit card making it a full refund plus he let me keep the store credit. I felt I should let you all know that there is hope and you can get satisfaction if you are patient. Also, Steve Johnson is not even in the Customer Service department, but he went out of his way to help me and I greatly appreciate that. Thanks! |
