Thumbs down KOHLS Customer Service

When they had the very low priced games after Christmas, I did some cart building to see how much shipping was for certain items. Each time I tried to load an item, the site would fail. At one point I actually got to a cart where I could see totals and saw outrageous SURCHARGES!

At this point, again, their site messed up and somehow transmitted an order. A few days later (unbeknownst to me) an UPS drive is bringing up 3 huge boxes of merchandise. When I called Customer service regarding their error, they told me it was my fault and that I had to take the boxes back to my local KOHLS store for a return. When I asked if everything would be refunded, they said everything but the shipping charges, including the outrageous SURCHARGES!!!

I have never felt so cheated by a company. BEWARE OF KOHLS and their policies! They are not customer friendly!

Re: KOHLS Customer Service

Beware of Kohl's return and exchange policy. I bought a pair of brown flip-flops and wore them once, and shortly after my feet became numb and blistery, my ankles were aching, and even my calves were tender and sore. I kept my receipt and asked for an exchange, they refused since I had worn them. Jerks!!

Re: KOHLS Customer Service

Most stores who sell shoes have a strict return/exchange policy. The shoes must not be worn. The stores always suggest you first wear your shoes at home on carpeting. Otherwise they aren't returnable.

Thanks Kat... I meant to type: worn outside.

True, shoes cannot be worn outside - if they look at all worn, the store cannot get credit for them from the manufacturer. I've returned shoes, but I've only tried them out in the house - it didn't take me long to figure out they weren't comfortable.

Hi,

This may or may not help, but KOHLS is owned by the May Company, the same that owns Lord and Taylors, and many others. Instead of calling KOHL's customer service, you might want to go a little bit higher - straight to the main number. And if you want to try customer service again, ask for a Suprevisor - they can OK things that a regular customer service rep has no authority to do. Good luck,

Kat

Yeah, that's what happened they felt all right in the store, but try them outside and they're uncomfortable.....it's a double edge sword....you know they're uncomfortable, but now that you've worn them outside they won't take them back.

Yep, that's true. I have short, wide feet and wear a really small size on top of it. It's hard to even FIND some that fit at all, but when I do, I want them to be comfortable, or as comfortable as possible as I have chronic hip degeneration on one side and it makes that side shorter. It's funny, when I actually find a pair that fits OK, I'll buy more than one pair if I can afford it.

Kat - who's wishing you find something really, really comfortable!
