I ordered a book on Nov. 7. I just received the book today. I emailed the seller on 11/28 asking where the book was. It was supposed to ship 11/10
"Thank you for writing us. Your book shipped out on the 10th of November.
If it has not arrived in one week, please respond to this email letting me
know, and I'll be happy to issue you a full refund.

If there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know."

I received the book today. THEY HAD SHIPPED IT ON DECEMBER 2nd...nearly a month after I ordered it.

In the meantime, I had to order the book again because I needed it desperately. Now I am going to have two of the same book because the seller was negligent in shipping. I will never order from half.com again. They don't even have a customer service email where you can complain, and if you don't get something, they make you wait a month to file a claim.

I am so angry because I sell on there and I have made extreme efforts to get the items out THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY as required in their rules. SO ANGRY I COULD SCREAM!!!

That irks me too when people tell me it shipped on a certain day. They need to realize that stuff is postmarked and we are gonna find out they are lying!

They do have an email address for you to complain and you should report this seller. They can loose their selling privlidges for doing this to you.

You can also request a refund for the book and mark it return to sender on the package.

I would suggest filing a complaint, I have never had a problem with my orders there, we had to get a book for one of Andywon's classes and it came right away with no problems and was much cheaper than getting it from Amazon.

I think you just hit a bad seller, do they have any other complaints? They have a feedback section just like Ebay so you can check their status and how many problems/complaints they have had.

Ver...I did file a complaint and they gave me a refund for that other seller. I ended up donating the second book so it all worked out o.k. I have ordered many times on half.com since and have been REALLY pleased, so I guess I should edit this thread!!

I just put some books on half.com that I had planned on putting on ebay. It looked like I could get significantly more money for them on half.com. I hope it works out!

On half.com you have to check the seller feedback just like you do on Ebay. I have ordered from them several times and never had a problem.

I am glad your experiences got better as they really are a great source for inexpensive items. If I had ordered the one book my husband needed for class on Amazon it would have been over $15 with shipping, using half.com, I got it for less than $5.

I placed three orders on half.com for college textbooks. I ordered two of them on Apr 25. One issued a refund saying the book was no longer available (2 weeks after I placed the order and only after I contacted the buyer) and the other sent me an e-mail saying that the book sold MONTHS ago and that she didn't know why half.com had it listed to sell OR listed as shipped. ALL the textbooks were listed as shipped and all DEDUCTED MONEY from my debit card. WHY is this?? I am so upset. My classes start tomorrow. I will NEVER order from half.com again. This has been a complete waste of my time and money.

Due to technical delay and supplier's delay it happen's like that, but it does'nt mean that every time it happens like that.
