Some BIG kudos going to this company...remember back about a month and a half ago when a $10 off coupon was posted for this site, plus all their x-mas stuff was 50% off? Well, the coupon posted here had been issued to ONE person. That's right, one. So upon the posting of the coupon, 1000's of orders were placed, with this coupon meant for one. Well, rather than not honoring the 1000's of orders they receieved, this company decided to honor them all. That right there is great!!! (Knowing of other companies which don't do this.) Anyway, I did have a slight problem with them. It had been over a month since I placed the order and still hadn't received anything. So I call their customer service and ended up leaving 2 NOT VERY NICE messages, with their voice mail saying I would receive a call back within 24 hours. Those calls back never came. Today however, a CSR named Crystal called me and fully explained everything. The 24 hour return call message has been removed as well as ALL customers are now being contacted. She said that before the coupon post, they were a company of about 12 employees and a company which only got about 50 orders a day. Overnight, once this coupon was wrongly posted on over 100 coupon and deals boards like ours, they went to having over 1000 orders a day. Needless to say, they were swampped and quickly began hiring more staff. Well, some of us who ordered did get a blanket email explaining that orders would be delayed and then others, like myself, received nothing. She profusely apologized for my inconvience. Though I had a very bad taste about this company before my half hour long coversation w/ Crystal this morning, I can now state that because of her and the service she gave me this morning, I will once again shop at their site. Whether I buy again depends on the deals of course and if I find something that I MUST have! Also, based on the CSR alone, this company is worth dealing with. Oh, and they sent a freebie with my order...a silver 5x7 picture frame...VERY NICE! I did tell Crystal about DOD and that we have a VERY strict rule about the abuse of coupons and that in NO WAY did any of our users mean to abuse this coupon. We saw it as a deal and didn't have the knowledge that it wasn't for public use. She was very grateful for that and don't be surprised if we have yet another new user to DOD. I'm with you, Jeni! I recieved my order today - had totally forgotten about it - and the silver picture frame as well (thought there had been a mistake until I read your post). I'll definitely be purchasing from them again!

Yea for corporate honesty and committment to customer service! Just for renewing my faith that some companies who do promotions that go awry can make it turn out okay for all involved, I think I'll go do a bunch of shopping there (as soon as I'm done reading all the posts I missed) ![]() Thanks for letting everyone know about their level of customer service! |

Wow. What a great company, great decision. See, this is the kind of attention you can get if you just bite the bullet and make good on your mistake. I don't think many companies are going to do this, but hat's off to this one. Nice work, ihomedecor! |
