Angry Hundreds of contests down the drain

ARGH. I can't believe it. My stupid idiotic Online email account with NETSCAPE.NET has decided it doesn't want me to send or receive emails anymore. Its way below quota, yet I cannot get or send any new emails, so if I win any of those hundreds of contests I've been entering for the last month or so, and they require confirmation, I'm SOL. I even tried to send using a different computer with the same results. And because they're owned by AOL, they don't even have free support. $9.95 PER EMAIL, or $39.95 for a phone call. WHAT A RIPOFF.

Why can't you send or recieve anymore? Was it something they decided for you or did you get an email warning you about it? I'm confused as to what happened to your email account. I have an email account there too but it's not used much.

I honestly don't know what happened. For the past couple weeks, when I would switch from viewing an email to the inbox list, it would say I timed out and should re-log in. This, even after less than a minute. OK, it was annoying, but I'd just hit the back button several times and I'd be back to the inbox. Then on Thursday evening, I noticed I wasn't getting the usual "you've entered" email from CokeMusic after an entry (although my hubby & sons were). And on Friday I knew something was really wrong. No CokeMusic, no 'enlarge' your you know what, no nothing. I tried to email out and got some Reference 101 (or 110) error. I tried to email myself from another account and it got bounced back, user unknown. And yet, I can log into my account so it wasn't closed.
All this started after they sent out form letters (approximately the same hour) with the usual spiel about inactive accounts for 30 days... I've had this account for roughly 5 years and use it for my genealogy, surveys, and contests.
It has to be on their end since none of my computers will access new email from that account, and I can access everyone elses accounts. I didn't do anything wrong

Baffled

Well, ya know...I just went to my account over there and there was not one peice of email in my inbox except for one. I usually have tons of junk mail in there since I don't have any filters set. I logged in last Monday and checked my mail then. The only thing in there today was a welcome letter from Netscape dated today. It was telling me thanks for opening an account at Netscape. I have had this email account for almost two years. So yeah, I think something is happening on their end.

I just found Netscape's message boards, and apparently a lot of people are having this problem, and Netscape is saying all of us are spammers. So the general thinking is, either someone stole our email addresses and spammed, or Netscape has screwed up royally and is oblivious to it.
If you try to send an email, and get the Reference #110, they have labeled you spammer scum even when you aren't, like me.
