| BEWARE OF CLASSIC CLOSEOUTS
I swear these things only happen to me. I made a purchase from Classic Closeouts on the net. I ordered Boucheron Womens Perfume, should have known it was too good to be true. I paid with my Pay Pal account (BIG MISTAKE.) The other day I got my order and I was so excited I took off the celephane on the box only to find it was MENS COLOGNE. The boxes look exactly the same. So I email these crooks and they send me a canned message that I need an RMA number to return merchandise. So I proceed to send them another message stating they should send out a call tag to retrieve the merchandise as I wasn't spending a dime to send it back when it was there error. I get another email stating I have to send it back myself and if it is opened they won't take it back. I AM SO FURIOUS. Now they won't respond to my email messages at all. Pay Pal won't help me either because they have some lame policy that they only help when merchandise is not received. Well how about FRAUD? This company is deliberatly deceiving people. I don't believe this was an error, I think they knew that they were sending mens cologne because any reputable retailer would correct their error immediately. They probably don't even have the womens perfume. Their price is way too cheap. I'm closing my Pay Pal account immediately, who needs them if they can't help me with a situation like this. Classic Closeouts is their customer and they have a moral obligation to interceed. Any help is appreciated. I told Classic Closeouts I was going to contact the Constumer Protection Agency and the Attorney General but it didn't even faze these losers. I read on the internet that they are a nightmare to deal with. So I'm sure I will lose my $35.00. BEWARE, think three times before you order from these crooks and if you have to then use a credit card. I have been trying to get ahold of them for 3 weeks now. I returned 2 pair of jeans but they haven't refunded my money. Have E-Mailed them everyday but no reply. How did you get in touch with them? I have looked for a Phone Number but have had no luck finding it. |

Amen to that. I tried to call them and they give 6 different numbers. Guess what? Every one of the extensions says the same thing, "Leave your message". Still, not a single human being to interact with. I have TWO problems, one you have mentioned. There is NO phone number on the site to call when you see a screwup. 2. Their programmer obviously didn't test his software, or doesn't understand English. I had made 2 earlier orders for my kids in Fl. and Al. This last order for about $100 was for me, so I chose the option: Make billing and shpping address the same." Without being given the opportunity to check it, the software put the order through and guess what? It is being sent to my son's address, the same one as the 2nd order. Their software didn't change the shipping address to be the same as the billing address. And again, no one to call and I'm out $100. My son will have to mail all that stuff to me, and it won't get here till AFTER Christmas. kWhat a mess. And when I called back the 4th time to that number, it was busy. But no one is calling me. And I gave my phone number EACH TIME!!! Caveat emptor foa' sho'. |

I purchased several orders from Classic Closeouts dating back to August 4, 2005. One dates August 4, one August 23 and one on October 13th. Each of these orders involved the return of 1 or 2 items. All items were returned within days of receiving and I obtained RMA# for each. All 4 items were returned to Classic Closeouts via UPS ground with tracking information. I followed up with UPS to verify and have proof of delivery for every item. Here it is almost the end of 2005 and I am still waiting for the returns of 4 items to post to my credit card. (note that the August orders were returned in September! and the October order returned in October) I began emailing Classic Closeouts after the required 30 day period to post refunds and received email responses stating they did not show my refunds yet, they were running behind, please check back. As of December 16th they are still using that line, over 4 1/2 months since my first return! I disputed the charges thru my credit card company but the credits were reversed when Classic Closeouts stated they did not show the returns! (in spite of my providing proof of UPS delivery). Whether this company is totally mismanaged and has no quality control in its' receiving department, or if they have thieves working for them in the receiving department or if they are just an unscrupulous company - I do not know. I just want my refunds due to me! It is unbelievable they have not been sued for fraud. I would never purchase from this company - obviously - and would encourage other online shoppers to look elsewhere. There are many fine outstanding, honest online stores out there and no one wants their hard earned money stolen from them like Classic Closeouts is doing to me! Register Now]. Its a place to complain so the whole world can know everything. When you go through them-I believe BBB takes over and trys to get your money or helps solve the issue. You can look up every store on the net. Its really awesome.So far I dont think classic closeouts is even listed on there so no one must have made any complaints. |

They get in touch w/the merchant RIGHT away, and the reason companys aren't listed on the BBB site, is that their rate of success is so high. Once the company makes "good" on what they did, refunds your money, etc's....they're not listed on the site as a bad business--and most companys will do that rather than be listed there for the entire world to see. I've used them once before with wonderful results - I got a full refund plus 10% from the merchant I did business with (the extra 10% was for my trouble!), at this point you have nothing to lose and everything to gain, go for it! Just wanted to let you all know that I had a problem with Classic Closeouts as well. I had ordered two pairs of jeans from them and all was well with that order. The next week I ordered another pair of jeans and they delivered them to another city. Don't know how they managed that one. Federal Express reimbursed them for the missing jeans, but they never contacted me nor replaced or refunded me. I ordered this pair of jeans on April 30th!!! So, I am glad I found this forum because I just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau of New York. We will see what happens. This place may have good deals, but they don't know how to treat a customer. Thanks everyone!! |
