We held off on Barbie until our oldest turned 5, which was a few weeks ago. She was so exicted and all but 2 of her presents were Barbie! Two Barbies we had troubles with were Pop Star Barbie and Stylin Pup Barbie. She got Pop Star Barbie from Gramma on her actual birthday. That night I found the headset broken on the floor in her room. I never got an answer out of her, her sister, or two cousins who had been over playing on what happened. Then just 2 days later was her party where a friend gave her Stylin Pup Barbie. This Barbie has a dog that comes with it with a pull string that when you pull it, the tail wags and the dog spins around. Well, after several pulls, it wouldn't wind back up. At this point I wasn't too excited about the "Barbie" birthday. My sil told me to call Mattel and see if they could do anything or just had the individual pieces I might be able to order. She had to call about a Polly Pocket house...they lost the magnetic people. Mattel didn't have any more, but sent some that weren't magnetic anyway. So, I called and gave them the info and did say that we're talking about kids and more than likely it was their fault and could I order these broken items. The rep said there would be no charge as the toys are under a 1 year warranty. They did not have the Stylin Pup Barbie, but would send me a coupon to repurchase it. And the coupon as well as the replacement product I should see in 7-10 days. Well, very promptly I received a letter with 2 $10 off Mattel products coupons and then a couple days later a package. | It never hurts to call/email
I have had trouble in the past with Subway, when I contacted them I ended up with 2 free subs! My mom had a problem with Bob Evans about a month ago. I told her to email them so she did. Not only did she get a very nice response back she also got a $10 off coupon in the mail a few days after her email. These companies do not want to lose you as customers and will do what they can to keep you happy. If you have problems with a product or a business just let them know!!
