priceline webhouse gasoline refund

I had 20 galons of remaining gas when they announced they are shutting down their business in 90 days on OCT 5. Their e-mail said I will receive the refund for unused portion of gas to my CC by NO LATER THAN OCT 20. A few days later I received another e-mail saying my refund will be $0.00. When I wrote them back requesting to correct the error, I was instructed to call their 800 number. When I called, the CSR told me they have no info avail and have no idea if I will receive the refund by 20th. When I asked her and also her supervisor their corporate address they told me that they can not give me the info(What!?). After many phone calls and e-mails I still have not received my refund. At least 3 CSR told me she/he just sent the info to the billing dept and I should be receiving the refund in 7-10days. Well it never happened.I also told them to please do not contact me by phone but by e-mails only so that I can keep the record. Guess what!? They ignored my request and kept calling and left messages as if they were afraid of leaving any record in writing. Today was the another 10th day I should have received the refund so I called them again. After I was told it will take another 10days from RON(CSR)I asked for supervisor. He told me 7% of 2 millions customer have this kind of problems and they are working really hard to correct the error. I asked him when should I expect to receive my refund. His answer was he doesn't know. He also told me priceline and webhouse is a different company and I can not go after priceline once webhouse has shut down.
Does anyone have same problem? I contacted BBB in CT and also wrote to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now]
. I found priceline has been revoked BBB license since September.
If you are thinking about purchasing hotel room or airline tickets from priceline, please be careful!
If anyone could suggest if there is anything I can do to get the refund I appreciate it.

I originally had that problem with my groceries. There were some items I had not yet purchased prior to notice of shutting down. I still had my reference/confirmation number that they provided at the point of sale on line. They kept saying that they had to research it. I asked what it was they had to research when I was providing them with their own information?! I had prepaid about $7.00 and they wound up crediting my account $10.00.......twice! We went back and forht a few time prior to resolving it. Gas was only reimbursed the amount that was unused. Keep emailing them and hold them to it!

Thank you chickylynn99 for the info. The 800 number has now been disconnected(without notice)and only way you can contact them is via e-mails. I sent many e-mails to the management people including Jay Walker(founder of priceline). None of them replied. However, I just learned I could still dispute the charge through my CC company since the transaction was made less than 6 months ago. For some reason I thought I had to do it in one month...
We will see what happens..
