Has anyone else ever dealt with flower.com (sorry about the heading, it was NOT 800 flowers.com, but FLOWER.COM)? They have absolutely zero customer service, and completely rip you off! They were running a special, one dozen growers flowers and a vase. I decided to treat myself to them and ordered them for delivery on a Saturday afternoon after 3. They arrived while I was still alseep Saturday morning. When I finally roused myself to go to the front door and get the morning paper, the delivery box from FedEx (another stinker) was just leaning against my door. No one ever rang the doorbell to get a signature, and they weren't delivered anytime close to after3! In fact, they had been sitting there so long that the roses already were drooping on their stems, the freezer packs put in there to keep them cold were completely thawed--and WARM--AND there was NO VASE! I have spent, so far, two months trying to get SOMEONE to respond and refund my money. I finally wrote a bad review of them at MyPoints.com and sent yet another letter to them, enclosing that review and repeated my earlier warning to them that if they didn't respond to my complaints that I would do such things. I got back a message in response to THAT asking me a short, useless question (that inidcated that they were not even reading the multile letters I was sending them--starting with the first day, when I wrote them at least ten times). All they asked me was "What do you want me to do?" I had told them in EVERY email: refund my money, including shipping, AND send me out free flowers for my troubles--nothing fancy or outrageous, only the same order I had originally paid for--I wasn't getting greedy). Once again, I got NO RESPONSE from them. Needless to say, a copy of this will go out to them again. So, my warning to everyone out there in the ether shopping on the internet is to NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE RIP-OFF ARTISTS!!! [This message has been edited by Elizabetta (edited 08-24-2000).] |

This is a Fingerhut site.....nuf said. Actually I want to say I'm sorry for all that trouble you have to go through. I had such a bad experience with Fingerhut last Oct. (Ordered for christmas...they wanted to ship it in Feb.!!!!) That I hadn't gone back to the site until recently. I keep getting calls about credit increases, great deals, etc. and each time I tell my story. I ordered 4 days before they were to be delivered Fiday afternnon by FEDEX. They never made there, ironically her husband works for FEDEX too. They said "the street wasn't found" I put Brookdale, when it was Brook Dale, they couldn't make the connection. It missed her birthday and when it was redelivered with fresh flowers 4 days after her birthday she was still happy. But i wasn't pleased with the company taking that long to redeliver an expensive order. |
