| Cashier threw coupons at me!!
I went to Walmart where the cashier threw coupons at me....she had no idea what to do with them..they were for the free 2 pack of Dove soap, she was trying to charge me over $5 for the soaps (I had about 7 coupons)...finally I told her to take them off of my order, and she threw them at me..so I left everything else there, and went to Target! I also sopke to the Manager the day after..he was not there that day..and he apologized profusely.. Do any of you have coupon horror stories you would like to share? I can't believe her nerve...actually THROWING them back at you!!! I would've been tempted to smack her with my purse!  Seriously though,I'm glad you took your business elsewhere and told the manager what happened.That checker needs to be dealt with.I've been treated poorly with my coupons many times,mostly just the heavy sighs and the rolling eyes like I'm such an inconvenience........SIGH!__________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. While speaking to the Manager is a good idea.. you should also write a letter to their Corporate.. and they will definitely take action .. and you will probably come out with a nice gesture of apology like a gift certificate/card.. and you would deserve it. I had a terrible experience with them once and I took the route of contacting Corporate.. and my phone then rang off the hook both from the store and Corporate trying to do everything they could to fix that huge problem.. and several nice apologies, reassurances that it wouldn't happen again and a $35 gift card solved it. __________________ Check out these [Only registered and activated users can see links. I have never once had a positive shopping experience at Walmart in my life. You all need to come visit my Walmart - nice employees that actually help you & will go out of their way to find whatever it is you're looking for! Of course, now it helps that my DD is the asst manager but even long before she started working there, we had very nice people. And, I agree with Jeff - you should write or call corporate with Walmart. They will do whatever is necessary to make things right for you and, if you make a written complaint, the employee will be taken aside and retrained on whatever she did wrong. But Target - ewwwwwwwwwwww! Don't even get me started - even the manager there is RUDE! It's interesting to read the threads like this one that talk about the 3 "biggies". Every town seems to have one that's really good, while the other two are horrible. To have coupons thrown at you is the worst of the worst!! Here, I like the WalMart super store. I've had folks who work in different departments ask if they can help me find something. Although the customer service desk is usually busy, the employees have always been helpful and don't have the snappish attitude some CS people have. The store is very clean and the prices on groceries can't be beat. Never had any problems with cashiers, who always seem to be upbeat and know what to do with coupons. Maybe it all has to do with the folks in management.After an appallingly nasty experience with Target's CS concerning an online transaction and an error that was their fault, especially after I had written a very courteous inquiry, I decided that I would never again order from them and will never go into another Target as long as I live. This week, I went to the local Super K-Mart for the first time in several years. During checkout my cashier was in the middle of scanning my purchases, I was looking through my purse for my Visa and when I looked up, she had disappeared! I looked around and found that she had walked away to talk to someone. Apparently the person had called earlier and talked with my cashier concerning the availability of an item, oops it wasn't really in stock, maybe there are some in the back, how about a raincheck, we can call a K-Mart in a nearby town to see if they have it, blah blah blah. IMHO there was no excuse for her not to ask the person to wait a few minutes while she finished my transaction or at least to have said something to me when she left the register. It's not a big deal, but I've intended to look at my receipt to see if the cashier's name is on it so I can file a complaint. __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. I too have had the typical cashier reactions to coupons and dealt with completely inept people, both at the register and at the service desk. But to have a cashier throw your coupons back at you.. uh, no, completely inappropriate! When I used to work at a WalMart Supercenter ("Stupidcenter") people would have been fired over an incident like that. I'm very sorry to hear that happened to you. You really should contact corporate. Call 1-800-WALMART and give names and the store number. They should do something for you. No customer should be treated like that.  I got one for you
I went to wally world after work one day, I was exhausted, was standing in the 12 or less items, I only wanted to buy a gift cert for my daughters birthday....I made my choice to stand in that line because the customer service line was the longest one in the store..So I'm waiting and waiting for about 20 minutes finally my turn the guy went ahead of me and she rang him up and said to me put my stuff on the counter, I told her I have nothing, so oh my turn, she takes the guy BEHIND me.......I said WHOA!!!!!!!!!! what about me.....she said you don't have anything....I said no not that you can see.....but i want and the guy behind me so rudely says well if you had spoken you would have been taken care of..I told him where to get off...I said to this cashier, I have cash in my hand that you can see and you think I stood here for my health???? She told me thats the breaks......I immediately went to the manager who took the cashiers position and said well she didn't know if you were just standing there......I looked at her and told her what do I look that stupid to stand in line for nothing just to stand there???? I had written corporate, and gotten no response..so I called corporate, and all they did was have the manager of the store call me...got an "i'm sorry"...that is all I got from both corporate and the manager! |

walmart supercenter does not take penny rolls. they didnt when my mom used it. she was so pissed she left everything there and went home. their loss, not hers. and she would have given them a big bizness too. i personally dont shop at target. never have (maybe window shopped once), and never will. still for convenience, i shop at walmart, despite all the horror stories i have heard. __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links. That surprises me..around here it deson't matter what mose of payment you are trying to use if it is legal tender, they have to take it, whether you are paying in pennies, dimes or nickles..I have use penny rolls in stores here, and they legally have to take them!! |

I love the Walmart near me. It is clean and people there are always friendly. I like our KMart here...we don't HAVE a WalMart (talk about the boonies, huh?) At our KMart they have self-service check-out and I LOVE IT. I just scan my own items, bag them, put the money in the slot, get my change and receipt and I'm outta there. By the way, if you have coupons, you just scan those too to get the discounts. It's the greatest thing since ATM's!!!! Since they put them in, I have NEVER had to wait in line...it makes me belly happy  __________________ [Only registered and activated users can see links.
