I got this email today: Valued Fandom shopper, Thank you very much for your recent order. I'm sorry to have to tell you that the coupon you recently used at the Fandom Shop was not valid. Someone illegally posted an unauthorized coupon code online. But hey, there's an item out there that you want, and we want you to have it. So if you're still interested in your order, Fandom will give you $10 OFF any order of $35 or more. Why should you pay for the low-down acts of others? Just call our Customer Service representatives at 1-800-348-8334. Tell them you're calling about the "FAN" coupons posted last week. Once they verify that you had one of the unauthorized coupons, you'll get $10 OFF. We'll keep your order on hold until Monday, July 31 when this offer expires. Thank you for shopping at Fandom. We look forward to serving you again. Sincerely, Mark Young CEO Fandom, Inc. Comment: "Someone illegally posted an unauthorized coupon code online." Listen you deal of day lawbreakers, this is serious. Federal and Sate law (and I am sure most local jurisdictions have laws against posting coupons. I just talked to a law student and he told me that it is illegal to post illegal coupons illegally. Punishable up to 5 years in debtors prison and a $250,000 fine. I want to know who the Illegal culprit is who posted this illegal coupon online illegally, now. Turn yourself in, before we all go up the river !!!!! |

I'm not any kind of law student BUT there are no Debtors Prisons in America Today!(me thinks possibly his law student has a few years to go) (check this link) [Only registered and activated users can see links. Either login above or Register Now] Secondly, I think that they would have to prove that YOU knew it was an "Illegal" coupon, whatever that may be before they could do anything. I guess they could sue for damages but they would have to find the originator of that coupon. ------------------ DealofDay.com Save Money, Have Fun Tami [Only registered and activated users can see links. Cyberrebatesuxs--My apologies, but I must post a reply to this, due to the fact that I'm a WEE bit fuzzy on your message. Some clarification please--are you saying that the aforementioned act was indeed ILLEGAL? Of course, by illegal you don't just mean illegal, but ILLEGAL??? Many thanks for your post. Overwhelmingly redundant point taken.

The email is real. The choice of the word "Illegal" in it was what I was commenting about. Just a little sarcasm to brighten your day. Now, go help some Nigerians funnell millions of dollars from an airport running lights contract into your offshore bank account. |

I will not be attending any type of pre law program (No school really offers a "pre law program" unless you count philosophy). The dangling participle should of been a real clue toward the sophistry of my post. I have read many a post concerning the terms illegal, I called someone who said, and of course against the law. I was merely adding some light hearted pprolitariate vernacular and logic to amuse even further. There is no such thing as debtors prison There is no such thing as Pre law program There is no such thing as an illegal coupon. Another universe should have chosen their verbal a bit more carefully. |

Finally, the person above actually got the joke. The locus (center or Source, look it up) here was Anthoruniverse.com used the term "illegally Posted." The misuse of the word Illegally" was the target of this farce. I understood it immediately. hence my grammaticley incorrect post). So did the guy above. For those of you who felt that these posts were as real as Martin Luther's posting at Bittenburg, well, lighten up. |
