I got my order the other day & was really pleased that buy.com honored THEIR mistake.. but check out the email I got today: Thank you for shopping at buy.com. We recently received and shipped your order #XXXXXXXX, which included a $50.00 coupon. As we state on the coupon web page, this coupon requires a minimum purchase of $500.00. Because your total order was less than this minimum amount you have two options: 1) return your order as soon as possible for a refund of the amount your were charged, or 2) respond to this email with your written permission to charge your account for the amount of the coupon. To return your product, you will need to obtain a return merchandise authorization number from our web site. Please read our return policy at Thanks again for shopping with us. We look forward to serving you in the future. Sincerely, buy.com I can't even believe it!!! Any suggestions on what I should do???? ------------------ Gervaise [Only registered and activated users can see links. sounds right to me...otherwise, why would they need your permission to charge you for something if you truly owed the debt? sounds like they dropped the ball on this one. ------------------ Renee If love is the answer, could you please repeat the question? |

I am doing nothing... A lot of people are sending them back angry e-mails but I think if you send them one they may say that that's all the permission they need to charge your card. I printed out my receipt with the total on it ($1.84) and will be happy to send it to my CC company. I said it before and I'll say it again- buy.com S U C K S. |

Well, I got two orders from them and two of the same emails. I will probably do nothing, and if they cancel my account or try to charge me the full ammount they will certainly hear from me. I buy so much stuff from them and they will certainly lose my business if they don't honor their goof.

I'm not sure what to do--I tried doing the return thing to get an RMA#..then when I went on the "click here" button for the prepaid shipping label, an error occurred on the page and I was unable to print it! I like the sunglasses--but am torn morally..I think they should have honored their mistake--or stopped shipments before it was too late! I really didn't need this to top off my week! |

I think they should just cancel those orders at the first palce, not try to do something only after they sent out the orders. Just ignore that email, they have no right to charge the full amonut. |

I ordered 1 CD and 3 movies. They sent me the CD. Then they cancelled the rest of my order saying they were out of stock. I think that was pretty chicken **** of them.

This reminds me of when you go in a store and you see a sticker price on the shelf for something. You get to the front counter and it rings up a higher price. They cannot do that and must give it to you at the lower price. In no way would I send the stuff back or authorize them to charge my card. This is what happens when your in business. Mistakes are made and you have to deal with them. Who is to say that if we use a $10 off a $50 purchase coupon that they won't come back and say ooops we made a mistake and it should have said $1 off a $50 purchase and we want our $9. Just some of my thoughts on it. ------------------ |
