BEWARE of Smarterkids.com!!!! They charged my debit card 66.50 instead of 6.50!! This was after I called and canceled the order because I noticed in my confirmation e-mail that the charge was wrong.I talked with CS twice to make sure it was cancelled, too. But 3 wks later I got charged, and this was early Dec., so my funds were runnong low, and this caused 4 chekcs to bounce. When I called again, they said to refuse the package(which I had already done) and they would refund the 66.00, nothing else...no apology.Still no refund, and I have called repeatedly and talked to live CS on their site.So the mainline is that a 6.00 order ended up costing me around 148.00.IS THAT STINKY OR WHAT???? Never again will I use my deb card, since obviously it isn't against the law for them to just charge whatever they want.

It's against the law for them to overcharge you, no matter what form of payment you use.

I'd go down to my bank with a copy of the original order and tracking from UPS showing that it was returned to dispute this charge. Most banks will help you to at least get back your money, especially since you didn't even get the merchandise. And, if your bank is like mine, they may even refund the overdraft charges. (I once had a similar situation where a charge for $11 was read as $111, and my bank was very nice about correcting the error and getting back my money for me.)

Most of all, be persistant & keep good records of everyone you talk to - names, dates, times, etc. And, don't be afraid of filing a complaint with the BBB and/or the Attorney General either. Good luck!

It took 5 months, but I finally got my refund. The last time I called, they tried to tell me I wasn't even in their database!!
